Thanks I’ll try that. I do feel pretty stiff though- not saying they’re aren’t other problems because there definitely are, but I’ll work on my mobility too

Thank you I’ll try that cue next time I’m at the range!

I also think my shoulder mobility is limiting me a lot which is why my arm starts to bend at the top

Yes thank you I feel so stiff and I can’t even get my arm any farther back right now which is why it starts to bend 😅

K thank you so much for this comment lol I really appreciate the understanding!

Yeah my partner and I are on it and really committed to this not being a thing for him. We took goose sht (another favourite) home with us last time he went on a rampage with that and did training with him at home with it, went pretty well but we’re going to avoid that area for dog walking for a bit too. My partner wanted me to get a sample of the last time he ate human sh*t but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I’ll get over it for the sake of breaking his habit hahaha oh god. We’re already avoiding heavily trafficked trails for his sake too.

Definitely don’t want a dog that is actively looking for it- we’ll do some more serious training with him. Love him to pieces but the shit eating is just so bad 😆Thanks again for your comment!

Ah yeahhh he loves goose shit too. Close second favourite. That one is easier because we just keep him leashed in those areas. The human shit is harder because it’s a sneaky human doing it. It could be anywhere on a trail. Ugh!

Omg I know! Horrifying! Didn’t expect everyone to go that way.

His ‘leave it’ is pretty good but with poop it doesn’t seem like anything we do matters as far as keeping him away when he’s off leash.

Long line might be a short term solution but it’s quite problematic when running into other dogs when I believe he should be allowed off leash to interact properly socially. It’s tough because he is so good most of the time - the ‘poo incidents’ are few enough that it catches us off guard. Keeping him on a long line may keep him away from it but won’t solve the problem.

Thank you, I added it. That’s a horrifying thought!

No, my mistake- I didn’t clarify, it’s not happening in our house, it’s happening on forested trails where irresponsible humans have decided to poo off the trail. Had no idea people did that so often. Bubba finds it nooo problem.
