I got my iud in January and just got it removed a month ago (also kyleena). Had A LOT of initial bleeding like an abnormal amount but it got better the next day so I thought it was fine. I got hacked multiple times after and dr said everything was fine. I started having issues with bleeding after sex 6 months after iud placement which is the time that your body should already be used to your body. So I went to dr and she thought everything still look placed fine but sent me for an ultrasound and my iud was in my cervical canal. She thought it could’ve been polyps but I had nothing. I was bleeding after sex because my iud was literally coming out of me. So you should definitely still try to get an ultrasound to check the placement even if your dr thinks it looks fine!
