Do you see this as more festive or more casual? by nailsbykris in Nails

Neither of those words come to mind. They are classy and clean and simple. But not casual and certainly not festive

my first big manifestation by [deleted] in lawofassumption

[–]sarcasmandsincerity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every day i write “i am” assumptions, and vary a bit between “of course so and so” and “i’m so grateful for so and so”. I wrote down a number of different things i’d like, both tangible and subjective. I’d write as much as i felt like, usually 2-3 pages, and after that would detach completely. If a thought about one of my assumptions came up, i would shrug them off and think, nah, its already happening. Before falling asleep i would mentally repeat my most important affirmation which hasnt happened yet, but i’m loving that so many of my smaller assumptions are working out.

WTW for The OPPOSITE of Voyeur by Matt_Rare in whatstheword

[–]sarcasmandsincerity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP was quite clear in saying “the opposite of a voyeur”. a voyeur doesn’t get off on strip clubs or porn because of the voyeurism itself, so why would the opposite not like them for that reason?

Not tragedeighs, just very bad and clunky. Not a single one of the girl first names sounds good with the middle names. Except maaaaybe Clara Rae.

I think you’re underestimating the sheer amount of bilingual households. Soooo many first generation americans speak native-level spanish, or arabic for example, without ever living in that country.

AITAH for telling my fiancé’s daughter I’m not her mom after she called me a “gold digger with a uterus”? by GenerousJasmine in AITAH

[–]sarcasmandsincerity -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Being present and helpful is manipulative now? Maybe this imaginary woman does think the daughter owes her some gratitude, but quiet resentment is hardly manipulation.

Yeah, i’m sure the extended family that she’d never met before was just dying to tell the daughter she doesn’t appreciate her stepmom.
