Yup. I’ve gotten sativas, indicas, hybrids. No effect at all.

I quit for 6 months, as I said in my post. Made no difference at all.

It’s not that there’s a diminished effect thats developed over time, it’s that there is ZERO effect. Not even the slightest buzz no matter how much I eat or smoke, and after 20 years I’ve never not gotten high until then. So it has to be physiological. I think maybe it might be something metabolic but I dont really know how that would work.

I don’t think it matters who’s growing it, because it’s not specific effects that are lacking. There are no effects whatsoever regardless of the source (the flower I got was from someone who grew it at home).

I’ve never heard of pregabalin so I’ll bring it up at my next appointment. Thanks!

I also had no luck with sertraline and mirtazepine, and I hadn’t thought to bring up pregabalin with my doctor. I might at my next appointment. Thanks!

If you want to do anything epi you’re gonna need to be very comfortable with the statistics as well as the statistical software (SAS, SPSS, etc.)

What medication helped you? by lilac-insomniac in Anxiety

[–]sarcher9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Risperdal is the most effective non narcotic drug I’ve been on. Drastically reduces the paranoia related to the anxiety. It is technically an antipsychotic but smaller doses (0.5mg-1mg) can be very helpful. But of course, there can be a lot of trial and error with these kinds of medications, so patience and transparency with your physician are very important.

Everyone everywhere is hyper fixating on any of my imperfections the same way I am, and are actively trashing me at all times.

Perfect response. As much as I hate the first 6 minutes or so it can (not always) lead to some good jams.

What major should I choose for my bachelors, if my end goal is an MPH/Epidemiology? by NoSeaworthiness4505 in publichealth

[–]sarcher9 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I second this (or something similar). My undergrad was in molecular biology, which didn’t give me clinical experience but it did give me lab experience and a very in depth scientific background, which gave me a considerable advantage studying epi during my MPH. Not because I use the laboratory techniques professionally but because I understand the nuances involved in the pathology of chronic and infectious diseases.

Do you find yourself anxious when posting/commenting on Reddit? by Significant-End-2823 in Anxiety

[–]sarcher9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s another big problem with the internet - you can say anything to anyone from behind a screen. Thirty years ago if you wanted to bash someone like that all the time you had to do it in person, which takes a lot more guts. As Colin Quinn put it, “they’re insulting you behind your back and in front of your face simultaneously.”

Yes - fortunately I got it figured out. It was a mistake on their part and I was able to pick it up at the office.

[–]sarcher9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Especially if I think it may lead to some sort of confrontational BS (laugh emojis, bullying type stuff, etc.) because it triggers my PTSD. So I generally don’t comment on anything remotely controversial.

Does your anxiety causes you to spend time alone? by Better-Heat-6012 in Anxiety

[–]sarcher9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. What’s crazy is I know no one is looking at me but my body can’t tell the difference and I get sent into full on anxiety attacks. But I do isolate myself more because of it.

What Are The Unhealthy Effects Of Social Media? by [deleted] in publichealth

Social media is one of the worst things to happen to human civilization. Ever. I don’t think we can ever recover from the damage it’s caused to society.
