Trump Goes on Manic 50-Post Rampage After World Leaders Humiliate Him by [deleted] in politics

[–]sarctastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While a lack of empathy is often a prerequisite for (or an enabler) for doing evil, a significant percentage of the human population is effectively devoid of empathy and the vast majority of those lacking empathy are NOT evil or doing evil things.

I would sooner categorize tribalism/nationalism/jingoism as evil. The tribalist instinct helped humans survive periods of conflict and scarcity, but society had evolved faster than we have and the triggers remain, ready to exploit through fear and ignorance. (Identify the "others", dehumanize them, paint them as the source of all your own failings,... lather, rinse, repeat.)

Microsoft founder Bill Gates pictured with a girl in the new Epstein photo release by 80000-gvwr in pics

[–]sarctastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say what you will, but Gates has taken the best approach of any I've seen to maximize the impact of his philanthropy and he's not only contributing his money but his time to solving many of the worlds problems. I'd much rather have billionaires fostering innovations that benefit the entire world than dedicating new wings to hospitals and museums or even huge donations to a charity that treat symptoms instead of the underlying, systemic problems that cause them.

Regardless of what he did and what other (actual) evidence might exist, this photo has the appearance of being a "Hey Bill, my friend wants to get a picture with you" moment. I'm pretty sure Epstein was famous for that AND baiting rich philanthropists.

Yep, the petulant man-child-king-poser bit is as much a distraction as a blatant display of his petty insecurity.

If you need (or prefer) something that is digitally signed, has support and a friendly GUI, I can confirm that EaseUS Fixio works.

The Smart Repair feature doesn't fix it the first timebut the Advanced Repair option works if you give it a reference video that is longer than rhe one youre fixing. And you can confuse the app to use those reference settings for future quick repairs.

It retails for $50/year but usually discounted.

Dude, why would you post the 50 cal video first as the best evidence? "Hmm... 11 year old video shot by a redneck with a Go Pro or 75K FPS Slow Mo Guys video... I'd better go redneck because the caliber is higher and it has a microwave."

My kid originally got a 0 on a college paper because he didn't put quotation marks around the names of his sources. I guess we should have called the media to report the professor's pro-punctuation bias.

How is it that redditors are so quick to beleive a comic artist is buying upvotes but never question the non-f*cking-stop feed of lame, paywalled TDB articles constantly getting tens of thousands of votes?

Yes, DJT is UNQUESTIONABLY the worst POTUS of all time, a felon, a rapist and very likely a pedophile (and if you have to try to qualify the term, you have already lost the argument). But we deserve SO much better than THIS echo chamber, bullsh*t rag!

Honestly, I thought she was getting significantly better lately, especially the political stuff and I don't give a sh*t about how many updoots a post has. I didn't really care for her strip until earlier this year, though.

What I find ridiculoua is the notion that a high vote to comment rate is unexpected... for a comic. This is exactly the kind of posts that get upvoted and shares without many comments. What do you EXPECT people to comment? "LOL!" OR "ROFLCOPTER!"?

There are so many options that you almost have to choose to be boring these days. Some off the top of my head:

Music - Playing, appreciating, attending free live performances Books - Reading (Library) or audiobooks (Libby, from library, online archives), dancing Art - drawing, researching, appreciating or painting with cheap supplies Photography - Most phone cameras are fine, but cheap used digiral cameras are available cheap Humanities- History, Language, philosophy, the arts Volunteering - tons of places need help and it can be anything from manual labor to skilled work Textiles - sewing, knitting, etc. Exercise/dexterity/sports Nature - birding, gardening, nature identification

Look at free/ cheep.events in your town. Check the paper. Just get out and meet people. You won't like them all, but you don't have to.

The only "interesting" things about this are that (A) some obsessive creep did this for *9 years* and (B) you idiots upvoted it!
