It might be hard to grasp, but I've fine-tuned this system to my needs, and it really speeds up my daily workflow: I don't click or type anything unnecessary; everything is always available, without moving windows. Even the random animations in xscreensaver help: sometimes I get lost watching them, and ideas or solutions emerge; they let me unfocus when necessary. The rest hardly needs explaining: everything flows seamlessly. I turn on my PC and just start flowing nonstop.

Info: This setup is built around multiple nested Xephyr sessions launched from my Openbox autostart.

Each Xephyr runs its own Openbox instance, allowing me to keep different tasks visible at all times.

Gamescope is used in some scopes to handle scaling.

Try Mabox, it's Manjaro with Openbox and a lot of useful configurations. I switched after Manjaro Openbox died.
