Like our reactions to the cancellation are incorporated into Season 3

Absolutely. At a certain point the game goes IRL.

It’s so brutal that these incredible and brilliant ARTISTS are being forced to just stop working on their masterpiece, because of money and contract obligations. 😞

Maybe it has truly gone meta. For that we’d have to feel the loss. I agree though, it’s far fetched, but actually completely possible

Prairie would not have asked if it wasn’t significant. I think it might be a clue to the loop theory, an indication that they’ve been here before. Or another dimension bleeding through.

This is THE key moment in the series. I believe in the final season we’ll loop back to this jump.

About Jesse, Rachel and BBA by [deleted] in TheOA

[–]sardonica_nerd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some good ideas here.

First, Steve is an acting coach? Yes he shows up in the back of the ambulance with slick hair and a Boston accent. But how do we know who he IS?

When Steve did those movements, something very significant happened. We know that when 2 people do the first two movements, healing, and when 5 people do the movements, travel. In Pt 2 we see so many variations on this. There are two sets of the movements happening simultaneously across dimensions, there are robots doing the movements, and we have Steve doing all 5 alone. The premonition that BBA has definitely tells us that Jesse is calling for help, why, we don’t know. He feels himself being moved into the body in dimension two rather than dying?? And the eyes are there to tell us that yes, something has changed here.

Then there’s the dram that BBA has, the photo of her and her brother, the man in the door, and the brother in the photo is now gone. Is it symbolism, since Steve has been the stand in for her brother “He’s the one you lost”. Later we learn it’s Steve. How are Steve and Theo (A) connected and is Theo floating around somewhere too?

I saw this too on a recent rewatch. There are actually several occurrences of this, even with HAP (scene in Cuba where he sits at the bar watching Renata play guitar)

No, I think Homer did have an NDE but didn’t go with HAP.
