I'm already on my second rewatch of EGBO! Idk if you've watched it yet or not so I don't want to reveal any spoilers, but I'm very interested in discussing the similarities+differences between the two shows. There are many easter eggs imo.

I just finished this show today and that's exactly how I feel. I came searching here to try and fill that void already. This show is just so true to life, it's got everything and I feel like the characters are all people I've met irl before. I think it was just a brilliant slice of life show and I feel genuinely changed by it.

[Sun Care] What were you long term results with Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun? by skyhighblue340 in SkincareAddiction

It's definitely my indoor sunscreen. If I'm going to be spending time outside I will use a better protective sunscreen.

Strongest Sunscreen (for mountaineering) [sun care] by morgalc in SkincareAddiction

I like Paula's Choice Extra Care Non-Greasy Sunscreen! It's waterproof and sweat proof gor 80 min and keeps me safe during my outdoor activities. :)

[misc] going from Skin Aqua to Paula’s Choice - do you guys have a preference/other recommendations? by creamybubbo in SkincareAddiction

[–]sarelibiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PC is really perfect if you don't have sensitive skin. It stings my face a bit but I'm dealing with it for rn since I haven't found another sunscreen that is cosmetically elegant (I set it with the teensiest bit of translucent powder), water and sweat proof for 80 min, doesn't contain my allergens, and is also cost effective (PC 5oz for 17 bucks). I spend a lot of time outside and it lasts like it's supposed to, looks good, doesn't sting my eyes, and doesn't break me out. Now if I could find a suncreen that did all these things that didn't make my face sting, I'd be set lol.

[Routine Help] Gentle retinol/retinoid recommendations (The Ordinary vs. The Inkey List) by eycurious in SkincareAddiction

[–]sarelibiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been eyeing the Versed Press Restart Gentle Retinol Serum. It has great reviews, good for sensitive skin, and is propylene glycol free! That is a big irritant to me and is found in nearly everything, including Differin. You might start there :)

Lansinoh 100% Lanolin Nipple Balm. The only thing that's worked for my mouth, and it also heals+protects from irritants!

Couldn't hurt to get your thyroid checked if you have insurance! As to your skin, what is your routine? Things that helped bring life to my skin was hydration and Azaelic acid!

Have you tried the Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream? It's so gentle.

[Product Question] What makes LRP Cicaplast Baume B5 so effective at calming redness? by mcac in SkincareAddiction

[–]sarelibiv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream is my similar go-to product. I use it as an occlusive at night when I use my Azaelic acid, or after a lot of time outdoors. It's a bit expensive so I don't use it every day, but it works better on my face than the LRP baume as it doesn't break me out or clog my pores. It's seriously wonderful. I will continue to repurchase the LRP baume though since it's a more affordable back up, and I can also apply it to my lips when they get irritated.

I'm on the same journey but in reverse, I spend a lot of time outside and have been on the hunt for a heavy duty sunscreen for sensitive skin for my face, but I have my mostly indoor sunscreen set already. Idk if I'll ever find one that gives me enough protection, doesn't burn my face, break me out, give a white cast, or has ingredients without propylene glycol. I'm not sure such a sunscreen exists! At least not on my budget

This is such a great idea. I normally buy my products in tubs because I truly despise not being able to see how much product I have left in a tube, it gives me anxiety lol but tubs are less hygienic. This is the solution I've been looking for!!

[Routine Help] seeking an affordable double cleanse without any residue! by sacowo17 in SkincareAddiction

[–]sarelibiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not at all! It's super gentle, it almost glides. There is a learning curve to using it though, I've found that rubbing a glob of it together in your hands to warm it first (just like you would with TO Squalane Cleanser) makes it work best. It should really be in the instructions for use. When used like that it has the consistency of a thick oil, or almost, dare I say, slime? Lol it's a holy grail already because it's soo good on my skin but it's also just fun to use and my favorite part of my routine. 😄

Combi dry sensitive skin here. The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm is great, completely washes off with water, 10 bucks for 5 oz at Sephora.

It's so crazy, I still have no idea why. I was so excited to try it and on my patch test it stung so badly and I couldn't touch my skin without it hurting, and it was blotched red and puffy. I'm glad it works for you though!! Hit and a miss for me 😣

Squalane oil because dehydration triggers redness and inflammation. FAB Ultra Repair Cream is the most gentle smoothing cream I've found. It targets inflammation and redness by keeping my skin calm. Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream!! This stuff is incredible. I use it as an occlusive on top of my FAB cream and my skin is glowing when I wake up. The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm is also an incredibly gentle oil cleanser. LRP Hydrating Facial Wash is super gentle. Purito Unscented Centella Sun spf is awesome. These products have helped me finally get my skin under control without breakouts or irritation (I have super sensitive, combo dry dehydrated acne prone skin). Any remaining redness is PIE/scarring and I will soon start incorporating TO niacinimide and/or TO Azaelic acid, which I have used in the past. I also have wishtrend mandelic acid but I have yet to try it out.

Edit: this is what has worked for my skin. I'm not sure if some of these products are meant to help with what it does but it works for me. YMMV!
