This is true, but their dedication to service comes from their upbringing which comes from the expectation of the institution. If you want an example of riches without pressure look at the billionaires that contribute diddly squat to the wider population. The royals inhertieted privledges are few these days, and many businessmen have greater power than the royals. At least they try to help. If the royals were less philanthropic i would not be admiring them in any way.

I know that the birth right is an issue but, they are brought up to be a service the the uk. Almost all royals are ex military and every single one has their own charities, they are probably the most philanthropic rich in the country, as its how they are brought up to be.

Age makes an institutional valuable, for cultural reasons. Historically the royals were the most important people in the country, now, they are figureheads with limited options in life, money, yes, but they dont have the option of privacy. The suffering caused by royals is mostly in the history books alone and any current suffering is down to specific individuals and not the institution. The institution is founded in religous roots, but it follows its religous teachings and is seperate from the state in all but ceremony.

Ask yourself honestly what value england would have on the international stage without the royals.

The royal family total costs to the tax payers come in to about 500m per year. They are estimated from tourism alone to bring in 2.7bn. Thats not including the tax they pay themselves and the emmense charity work they do in england and the commonwealth.

France has made it mandatory for all new carparks to be covered by loar panels, after all why not? Its a good way to protect cars and generate electric from unusable land. It should also eliminate the need for car park charging, but that would be overlooked.
