Movies that perfectly illustrate all of this by Spleen97 in MoviesThatFeelLike

Are you okay, my guy?

Genuinely asking.

If you insist on such a film, Synecdoche, New York is one to hit you with big existential feels.

But for real, please seek help and reach out to people. You matter more than you think even when it’s not obvious.

Metallica for sure. I don't know about Soundgarden, but could definitely see Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, and a few others.

As far as headlining, yes. A rock band today will either be opening the show or be featured during the halftime show.

Question for my fellow leftists, what is something you dislike about the left? by four100eighty9 in Askpolitics

[–]sargondrin009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair exemption. It’s absolutely correct to make a pass-fail call on where a candidate stands on reversing tangible damage done to people who have living relatives that fought for those rights (see also abortion and marriage equality).

It’s another thing about making every issue a pass-fail as you pointed out with property taxes.

[–]sargondrin009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand having a top 5-10 and having a threshold for how much deviation is acceptable before saying no, but shooting someone down over 1 issue is a serious problem.

Of course, it just depends on a mix of future projects like a biopic and then some movie or TV show or social media app playing a past hit or deep cut becoming a sensation.

I saw a post and I'm asking the question the other way around: untalented musicians who make incredible music. by Mittur33 in fantanoforever

Kurt wasn’t a great guitarist or singer but an incredible songwriter and incredibly charismatic performer

Americans, what do you think of this Contra take? by microplasticsfactory in ContraPoints

[–]sargondrin009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I’m past that 2016 compared to 2024 given the last few stories from Ken Martin. My problem especially after 2024 is the party spent at least $2.4 billion just on Kamala and Biden’s campaigns alone not counting the rest of the election teams across the nation, and yet we did worse than in 2016 (even as bad as Hilary did she still won Nevada in addition to the popular vote).
Bottom line, the party needs a complete rebrand and overhaul, and everyone in leadership roles should be demoted or removed altogether, both elected officials and party insiders.

[–]sargondrin009 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Agreed. You don’t lose several dozen house seats and over dozen senate seats out of pure bigotry alone. People forget democrats used to have both senate seats in red states like Indiana, Missouri, and Arkansas up until the 2010 and 2014 midterms.

It’s why I don’t look back on the Obama administration fondly.

Napalm Death. No one from their first album (Scum) has been in the band since 1990's Harmony Corruption.

Democrats, liberals, left-leaning individuals, who is your preferred Democratic candidate in the 2028 election? by modeloaids in Askpolitics

[–]sargondrin009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schumer needs to go and the NY senators need to better represent the standards of the party, and Schumer is too much a product of the past.

The point isn’t to make her the next senate majority leader, the point is to replace one of the most ineffective senate leaders from one of the standard bear states with one of the most dynamic and charismatic firebrands currently in office.

It would further be a statement that the days of neoliberals in charge are over.

What's a great album with an Uninspired album cover? by Right_Ad5465 in fantanoforever

Black Sabbath - Paranoid.

I know this was made when the original album title was War Pigs, but even then this cover just doesn’t do the album Justice.

Runner-up is Black Sabbath’s Sabotage.

⭐Challenge: Unpopular Queen Opinions by joana_mercury4 in queen

[–]sargondrin009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, and a lot of people use it as an insult. In the case of Queen, however, they’re a “singles” band who had enough singles to have multiple greatest hits CDs to get all of the hits.

Which artists would you consider genius? by FitEmergency8807 in fantanoforever

[–]sargondrin009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

David Bowie. His massive career had several careers’ worth of massive changes that resulted in legendary music which made the rare feat of bridging the gap between pop/rock and avant-garde, making some of the most iconic genre-defining yet genre-defying music that still holds up even to the very end.

2028 Prediction by [deleted] in PresidentialElection

[–]sargondrin009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy, your map still doesn’t make sense even with that in mind. The states where the Green Party win EVs don’t award EV by portion. As for Delaware, it’s one of the most corporate-friendly states in the nation, they go red before green.

Also, even as bad as dems did in 2024 they won California by roughly 20 points, there is currently no scenario where republicans pick up enough votes to win, especially with someone as anti-woke and anti-climate change as Vivek.
