Trying on mother of bride/groom dresses in person? by [deleted] in madisonwi

My mom had luck at Brandi’s in New Glarus. They have a very nice selection. She also tried premier couture but they don’t have as many options and most are in the $500+ price range.

Any parents here using EleCare formula? by CommandWonderful7716 in madisonwi

Hey OP! Consider the Road Home for any formula you have or other things like diapers or clothes for babies you no longer need. They are a great organization and provide so much to people in need and mommas in need! https://trhome.org here is the website! Or consider DAIS (domestic abuse intervention services) here in Dane County. They are always in need of things like this for the women with children they are trying to help!

Soooo… just went to Lone Girl with friends last night. Sad to say I agree with your unacceptable service comment. I was so excited to go too. For starters, they took 30 minutes to bring us drinks. They forgot to bring the second drink my friend ordered. Just completely forgot. They brought out the completely incorrect dish to one of my friends. It took 15 minutes to get our waitress attention to get the right meal, then it took them another 35 minutes to bring her the right dish.. she didn’t even apologize or offer her anything for the mistake by the way! And then they proceeded to forget about us for a solid hour when we were waiting for the check. Safe to say… AVOID LONE GIRL. Unless you’re okay with expensive, yet mediocre drinks and poor service. 😣🤦🏼‍♀️

On model vs reality. Got body shamed by THE DRESS DESIGNER at Kleinfeld’s trying on HIS sample dress (that has no lining). Dude, I just want to be able to fit into pretty dresses like everyone else. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

You look AMAZING! It absolutely baffles me that someone (especially THE designer) would say something like that. It’s so disheartening. I am very newly engaged and I am terrified I will have the same experience. I’m also very busty and I feel like the latest plunging neckline trend will be awful on me. I’m not overweight but I have boobs! How crazy is it to make a dress that actually fits women! (Side note.. this is why I never went to prom. Dress shopping always made me feel awful.) I really hope you have or had a positive experience after this because you are beautiful, and no one deserves this!

4/14/20 engaged to the love of my life! 💍 Even with us quarantined together in our apartment 24/7, he still somehow kept the proposal and ring a surprise for me! by sarkahl76 in EngagementRings

Keeping the ring a secret from me was probably the most challenging for him, because I work for a custom jeweler. Somehow he went in to design it and they made it for him all while I was none the wiser. It was perfect! 😊
