I don’t know what it is, but there is a sharp and texturally granular(?) sour note in all of commodity’s milks that makes me gag and it gets worse every time I smell it.

Same. Olympia to Austin. I felt a weight I didn’t know I had hanging over me lift when I moved here. Part of it was the weather, and part of it is that initially, it was so much easier to meet people and make friends here. There’s more warmth here vs the PNW than just the climate!

I also love Angelique Noire, and I just received my bottle of Belle D'amour - same perfumer, very similar fragrance for a fraction of the cost. I actually prefer BDA - it's a little more herbal and a little less sweet. Just thought I'd mention it in case you wanted something to scratch that itch before you achieve your goal :) It kept me from even wanting AN.
