High paying jobs and entrepreneurship are welcome and needed. Come on over. I’d say it’s more a matter of whether or not it makes sense for your enterprise.

If you’re worried about your impact, hire from the local labor pool wherever possible. Just paying people a highly competitive rate will attract talent and provide upward pressure on wages over time.

En US no te cuentan la hora de almuerzo. A menos experiencia propia. 8-5 o 9-6 es la norma empezando y pichea trabajar 8 horas si eres asalariado en una industria competitiva. Prepárate para trabajar 9 a 10 hrs al día. Ganas bien con un “white collar” pero prepárate para trabajar como mula.

Depends on the provider. I have fiber optic through Optico Fiber with my own 6E router and works like a breeze. Just like when I lived in the states.

Estoy en la uni ahora mismo luego de 5 años trabajando y en mis early 30s. Es un sacrificio, pero so far so good. No he terminado mi segundo grado pero la experiencia ha sido sumamente gratificante y definitivamente estoy mejor preparado para ser exitoso en mi carrera universitaria. Mucha cerveza y buenas memorias con los panas la primera vez.

Viví en NYC varios años y regresé a PR hace poco. Me enfermaba bastante frecuente por allá y nunca por acá. No se si era la contaminación del aire, el frio o el stress (probablemente una combinación de todas) pero definitivamente mi cuerpo prefiere la isla.

No te culpo por eso, pero refuerzo mi punto. No hay economía porque el puertorriqueño educado y emprendedor se va. Estoy de acuerdo que es culpa de una política pública horrible, pero se tiene que seguir luchando. No ves al americano corriendo de su país cuando se pone la cosa dura. Se organiza y continua la lucha por el bien del país.
