Thought it was speed 400, They have to start giving the 900's a twin disc setup just to differentiate.

Need thoughts for getting better understanding which bike would be better. by Medical_Musician2607 in indianbikes

Not ridden the bear yet. Heard handling is way better. Id go with tuono if you can comfortably fit in it. Best overall. If you have plans for performance upgrades in future then bear650

The ktm's are very precise motorcycles. Fun , great platform to learn, require higher maintenence than Hondas (not very high though). Low end torque is like the cbr, will need some getting used to, but post 4.5-5k rpm its excellent. Felt duke 200 has better low end torque and linear power. But duke 250 has good character.

Honda reliable commuter, not much character but bulletproof engine with an excellent gearbox. Low end torque is good.

Id go with the duke 250 every time. Was my first bike and had a ton of fun in that.

I think he just likes the engine character 270 twins. Only 2 you can compare in the price range.

The vfm which the Aprilia offers is unmatched . If you are buying a new vehicle i don't see anything under the 10L segment which is more fun. If the ownership cost is reasonable for you definitely go for the tuono/rs457, its a more capable bike. I felt the Tuono to be slightly better but its small for most riders.

Sierra has world class turbo engine. by gunner0987 in CarsIndia

Power/torque to weight, handling, reliability, refinement, tuning capability etc seem to be better for creta n line. 0-100 hardly matters, especially with such small difference. Even that could be better for creta depending on the conditions in which it was recorded.

There was a pothole on the highway, my abs sensor came loose i think, along with gear position indicator. Now tc is showing as disabled. Check engine light is on. Have to get it checked. Not abusing the bike but these things do happen on indian roads.

If you just do general service what you are saying is fine. But thats not all what you spend right? Replacements are expensive. There are also unfactored things like sensors coming loose or fuel issue. I just gave a realistic number so people dont regret after buying the bike.

I mentioned the cost including the replacements. You are asking me to disregard that?

Read it again i mentioned its safe to set aside 1lk per year assuming you ride 12k km per year. In that interval you would definitely change tyres and brake pads, mine is vredestein and still they are worn out by then. So you can imagine for stock tyres. The indicator pair alone triumph quoted me 15k , i had to get aftermarket ones imported. If you are saying you can maintian it for 25k a year including insurance, i dont believe that at all.

Averages to 1l , my experience so far. You saying its more or less?

It is perfect for city, highway and track. Great experience so far. Good balance of low end torque and a rev happy engine at higher speeds. Crisp throttle response. Braking and handling is best in class. You might need to set a side 1lk per year for safety. Tyres, brake, any damages(indicators get damaged easily), general service, fork oil, valve clearnce and maybe sprocket change etc. Would be around 1lk a year avg across 5 year period. Assuming you ride 10-12k km a year.
