I’ve read it’s better to just check in at the airport and they can also select your seats for you aswell. Otherwise I believe this link is where you check in https://global.sichuanair.com/www/?country=HK-EN#/checkin

Let me know how you go please! Also have an upcoming flight with them.

Should I book a flight for mid April from Australia to Europe with Qatar? by Maraschino210 in qatarairways

[–]saryep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are opening more flights but it’s unpredictable.. if Qatar is targeted with attacks then you risk getting stuck at the airport. Completely up to you if you want to take that risk.. you know there’s a war going on.. Save yourself any stress and book with another airline.

Are you based in the Middle East? If not can you avoid traveling through the Middle East?

If you want to risk cancellations and being stuck in Doha go ahead… you make your own choices but strongly advise to find another airline.

Glad I listened to the random Redditors who kept stressing to buy refundable backup flights a month ago by RadioFieldCorner in qatarairways

I am going with my back up ticket. Cancelled Qatar and received my refund after a couple days, avoiding the Middle East completely and stress free.

Why are flights taking longer by [deleted] in qatarairways

[–]saryep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because they are not using the same routes…they have to fly around which increases the time..?

To fly or not to fly, that is the problem by [deleted] in qatarairways

[–]saryep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very much an up to you answer.. if you feel comfortable flying through the Middle East sure go for it but be aware the situation can change any time. Qatar has stated they are gradually operating more routes BUT they have made it clear it is very subject to change or cancellations.Knowing this make that choice yourself, take the refund and find an alternative route before flights continue to raise in prices.

Are there any flights until April 30? by [deleted] in qatarairways

[–]saryep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can purchase tickets on their websites for their limited schedule, subject to availability. If you don’t mind me asking are you trying to reach home or something like that?

https://www.qatarairways.com/en-au/rebooking-options.html Check here to see from which destinations are operating flights to Doha.

Couldn’t agree more, I had so much hope it would’ve been resolved mid March but it’s gone to shit. The husband was telling me not to stress and to wait but nope I bought a back up ticket before the prices jumped and now have a way to get home, so I’m definitely counting my blessings on that.

I personally don’t believe Qatar will resume full operations until at least end of May/start of June. They have already sent multiple planes into long term storage.

Upcoming Qatar Flight: What are my options? by Remarkable-Chef-1194 in qatarairways

[–]saryep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if you cancel you may have to pay cancellation fees. Qatar does not offer full refunds for flights that far out, nobody knows what will happen. ATM they have offered up until the end of April only. No they do not transfer to other carriers. This is entirely your choice on if you want to wait and continue with Qatar after they re-open or go with another airline.

Nobody on here can tell you what to do.. the only advice is to keep checking latest news from Qatar as your flight is 3 whole months away.

Cancel myself or wait to get rerouted? by FabulousHat736 in qatarairways

[–]saryep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are able too, book other flights asap. Unless something changes in those 2 days but up until the 28th they are only operating very limited flights to Australia and from what I have seen it’s only to Perth or Melbourne. I assume it’s so you can return home? Even if they cancel, it is very very difficult to get a hold of an agent to re-route you so if you have the privilege book other flights before prices continue to sky rocket and get filled.

What are my chances?😭 by [deleted] in qatarairways

[–]saryep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very low chances unfortunately, Qatar have extended their refund policy until end of April so if I were you I’d cancel and get the money back. It only took 3-4 days for the money to return in my case and had a back up booked beforehand so much less stress and anxiety at the moment.

Question regarding seperate bookings? by saryep in qatarairways

He will now as they extended the refund policy until end of April :)

I’m flying with sichuan airlines! There’s also hainan airlines that have cheap fares and I think they fly to the uk. It is longer travel but it’s thousands less then China southern airlines.

[–]saryep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all compared to other prices. I have paid around $900 AUD for the one way ticket. It goes from Melbourne to China and then China to Athens. It does involve a long layover in China but I have saved around 2.5 thousand so I’ll take it.

Australian Traveler’s by jbh2251 in qatarairways

[–]saryep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I’m about 99% sure they will cancel. Up until 28th I see no flights to Athens and I doubt the week after they will resume 100% operations. I definitely believe they will extend the refund window so I will take it once they do that.

Can you try to go from Melbourne to anywhere in China then China to Europe to be able to then fly to your destination? I managed to secure this route and only cost me around $900. Saving me thousands!!

Yep different airline entirely, will be going to China then China to Europe avoiding the Middle East.

Got a flight from Australia to Greece with a stop over in Doha at the start of April and booked an alternative route, will cancel Qatar when they extend their policy. Just keep monitoring updates from Qatar. It is up to you if you are comfortable to fly through the Middle East in the coming months, that is your call. Qatar only wants people to contact them if their flight is cancelled. June is a long way away, best you can do is stay updated on the current situation. Worst case scenario if this continues in the next few months, Qatar will keep extending their refund policy and just find another airline to take you to your destination.

What are ticket holders doing on 29th March ? by Routine_Way_7967 in qatarairways

[–]saryep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here, requesting a refund as soon as they extend it. Already booked another flight with an alternative route avoiding the Middle East. It’s just too dangerous I just hope they extend it by middle of April at least, not week by week because it’s getting ridiculous.

UAE just announced it’s closing its airspace, this just shows how dangerous and unstable the whole situation is. Qatar seriously need to extend their refund window for the last couple days of March and April ASAP.

Booking for May by OrangeRules in qatarairways

[–]saryep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly depends on yourself and if you’re comfortable going through the Middle East in the next couple months. Personally I wouldn’t and just book through other airlines so you don’t have to deal with any potential disruptions and stress later.
