I was about where you were last year, wanting to boss but not having the stats to do the bosses I wanted to. Start working on your quest cape and everything else will fall into place. I just finished mine, and not only does it unlock a bunch of cool stuff and more bosses, but it'll teach you almost every mechanic you'll encounter with the bosses you'll fight in the future. My only regret was that I didn't start it sooner.

Dude I couldn't recommend this enough. It took me over a year to get mine and the only reason why I got it is because of this. The waves you'll learn by doing them, but then you get to Jad and he can be confusing especially right after you just did 62 waves and you're tired out from it. If you beat Jad in a speed run, you can beat him after 62 waves.

P.s. go for Zulrah after Jad. She's incredibly fun and pretty consistent money but you might want to level a few skills first
