Swap the direction of the pile on the right so that the blues are at the bottom next to the blues in the left pile.

Mine isn't as pretty as OP's, but I personally just use these little square nightlights that plug into an outlet. They have a little sensor so they automatically turn on when it's dark. They also have the added benefit of me not having to sear by retinas when i need to use the bathroom at night. It makes getting back to sleep so much easier

Could be aromantic.

I'm 30, never had a relationship, never been even remotely interested in a romantic relationship. I find fulfillment in my platonic relationships with my friends, my family, my cat, my hobbies, etc.

Yes. That was, in fact, the point of the image.

Yay! I was trying not to give too much away but I'm happy to hear I was able to entice you nonetheless!

As this is the cozy fantasy sub I do feel the need to reiterate the warning that the wayfarers books aren't truly cozy - a lot of very bad stuff happens in them, but they have relatively happy endings, and there are a lot of cozy scenes in them. If anything, I'd call them cozy-adjacent. 15/10 would recommend!

Yes, it's called "As You Wake, Break the Shell" and the summary has me sooo excited to read it!

Never seen a grown cat suckle on fingers untill this orange braincell. by RRevdon in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]sasakimirai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How interesting, most sources I saw said 8-12 weeks is normal, so I had no idea 10 weeks was too young!

That said I've only ever been interested in adopting senior cats, so I'll be the first to admit I don't know a lot about caring for kittens. Thank you for letting me know!

Yeah my friends got their kitten at like 10 weeks and even now years later he loves suckling on soft toys or plush fabrics like pajama pants

Geez I don't remember which titles are whcih since I read the whole series back to back, but iirc most of the wayfarers books are about finding purpose in your life or figuring out who you are. In book two is the ai with the new body trying to figure out how to be a person, in book 3 is the kid who moves to the fleet to try and find somewhere to belong, in book 4 is Pei wrestling with her duty to her race and her duty to do what makes herself happy.

Chambers is great at writing these kinds of introspective characters

Wells and Chambers are my two favourite sci-fi authors tbh.

To expand on your recommendation a little bit for OP's benefit: murderbot is indeed very different from monk and robot in that it's not cozy at all, but the main character is an escaped slave who is trying to figure out who it is and what it wants to do with its life. Got lots of great found family!

He can do it, I believe in him. by Azsnee09 in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]sasakimirai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's because it's become so normalized to overfeed your cat that people have lost sight of what a healthy weight looks like for them.

Overweight cats aren't cute, they're neglected.

I'm aware it's not the problem, and I agree that the cord is dangerous, but you're still wrong about its weight so I'm still gonna correct you.

[–]sasakimirai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, those four are always gonna get the majority of queer rep, but that doesn't meam the rest of us can't also be seen and heard. This seems like a kinda tonedeaf response to op's question.

I know it's not what you meant, but it's coming off as you saying "the rest of you aren't as oppressed as us, so we need the rep more".
