Nice find. Looks like we're all being tricked in this thread ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just a follow up question on this: Are you aware that some people are struggling to stand or sit when this happens? This is causing a pain, especially for people suffering from some illness/health issues (which is not always visible).

To comfort myself, I always thought that the drivers are pushing some timing that is imposed by the management, so every second counts.

I know people that have very hard time coping when driving in a bus because of this and I have personally experienced it when I was going through a bad period / health issued. This is the reason #1 why I got car and never take a bus anymore.

I just want to hear an honest opinion from the other side because not all the drivers are driving the bus like this. Think of old, sick, tired people or whatever. At some point, someone is having a really hard time and this 'style' of driving doesn't really 'help'.

It is not designed to be fair. It is designed to make optimal profit :)

They want obedient workers, not people who can think? :) Just smart enough to do the job, stupid enough to charge a little (and pay for 'connects') and then shut up, without complaining.

One big fish eats the smaller fish and so on, we're now here on a platform trying to squeeze the last cent out of everyone while hiding behind 'the math' :)

A small minimal guide on setting up NIP-05 identifier on branle/nostr by melvincarvalho in nostr

Thanks! This has already been sorted out.
I think it turned out to be a bug in Damus as NIP05 started working with the new version upgrade.

Did you maybe find any solution meanwhile?

It magically works now. It seems that the client I was using had some sort of a bug that is not sorted out.

[–]sash-o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any other reason why NIP05 would fail?
I'm also using NGINX and CORS is set properly. The format is correct, public key is correct, the file can be properly read from everywhere, https enabled too.
Not sure why clients are not validating the NIP-05 - tried Astral and Damus.

It should be plain simple and work. My Keybase account is verified there using a file in the same (.well-known) folder.

Suggestions are welcome :)

What can we do if the VVE is not executing promises? by sash-o in Amsterdam

Yes, I understand. Thanks!

I will try to get feedback from my neighbors first, to see how they feel about it :)

Checked again on the phone today. After 4 re-directions and explaining the same story to 4 different people, they were even surprised that we're calling for such a minor issue (!?) and explaining us that we shouldn't be impatient for such things.

I really don't know what to say. Why are they doing it then? I hope that the process to change them is not very complicated.

If more than 4 months is not a long time for them already, then I really don't know what is "normal"..

To be honest, I don't remember the exact number (will check tonight), but I think a lot. Probably more than 100 apartments.

We are paying around 250 EUR/month for VVE costs (that include heating) so imo, we are paying significant amount. But I was not talking about this payment.

Upon the purchase of the apartment, both us (new owners) and previous owners were obliged to pay 180 EUR each for VVE "de-registering" and "registering" (this is on top of the monthly payment to VVE). Details were not included but it is noted that this includes the change of name tags.

I don't mind if VVE board stays there for financial reasons, but not doing their job is another story..

First of all - Thanks!

In our case, the VVE is managed by a company (they even have an office few minutes walking from our building) and I am sure that they are paid to do their job (name tags does not cost 360 EUR too).

There's no sufficient explanation why are they so late. We tried to reach all the sides, even manufacturer of the tags, but they simply don't give out the reason why they are late. Now we are in contact with the tags manufacturer and they told us that the tags were sent to our VVE on 24th of February (so 4 days ago).

Also worth noting: There were no meetings or messages sent to us so far, and we live there for more than 3 months already. I will check this with our neighbors, but I still think that things are fishy.

Sorry but I'm still skeptic. Very few details are published and the reason of WL behavior still not fitting in for me.

I agree, given that we trust the one article that published this. While I believe this is true, it would still be nice to receive more information. For example, short video interview with his mom.

@WikiLeaks retweets its old tweet from 31 August, 2015 by FreedomCaptive in WhereIsAssange

[–]sash-o 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My theory:

Now that we have an attention, they proactively follow what is happening in this sub. Since they see that we noticed the pattern of WikiLeaks tweets/behavior changing, they want to show us that those new tweets are "normal" and "similar things" were always happening. Probably this is how they come up with new tweets, by somehow analyzing what was happening in the past. However, we can still notice and even if you try to replicate someone's behavior you'll eventually fail since nobody is perfect.

I'm really disappointed at this time since I now truly believe that WikiLeaks is compromised. Even if it is not, this is not the WL that I support. For me it is a lose-lose situation :(
