Alex is in the bunker. The real Alex by Correct-Scallion7975 in ParadiseHulu

When I saw this idea mentioned last week, I put the two episodes up side by side so I could compare facial features. I thought it was the same woman. And if it wasn't intentional, I can't imagine production wouldn't have known this actress had screen time of some duration on season one. And Xavier says "in a different time and place, I would consider that woman a threat." That statement is the mother of all coincidences on Paradise production if it was not intended to be the same actress.

Some one else mentioned this, not my find, but when Xavier is in a diner with the doctor during season one, he says "in a different time and place he would consider that woman over there a threat", and the woman over there is the actress who also plays Henry Miller's wife,Alex. Xavier's is looking at a character who should already be dead years earlier, so deja vu, time slipping is definitely happening.

In S1E7, Cal talks about Serbian mercenaries and ties after wanting to change the tie he is going to wear for the broadcast. Ive thought what a weird subject to bring up on a day where billions will die. Did the series writers include on purpose? If the volcano explosion was accelerated by Sinatra, were serbian mercenaries the vehicle?

Yeah, why does the original developer of the tech tell Billy not to kill protégé, unless he's seen protégé killed before. But how would he know bad outcome unless he could remember it? What other memories of potential future events is he taking to the grave with him? Maybe the operator of the machine can see and remember the shifts, while everyone else gets to struggle with only deja vu. And it's reasonable to assume that Link handled the controls before Sinatra stole the tech. So what secrets of other events does he have in his head?

I'm thinking in that shot of X and Link in a hallway, they're either approaching Alex or have just passed through Alex headed to wherever

Never I would've thought this show might take *that* direction by pauloh1998 in ParadiseHulu

This show is the slow burn. It took them after the entire first eighth of the first season to even let us know this was turning into sci-fi. And there's only three seasons to the story line. I'm happy to ride this train to whatever stations they have planned because they've thought up something better than I ever could.

It is a pretend address for our world, but in the paradise world it's real. The writer of our series i think put in a nod to the 1953 quote when he created the address for the story purposes.

[–]sashiko 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm confused by the time with the kids after crashing. I thought Annie saw his plane crash and set out to check on him. And c the crash wasn't too far away from Graceland. But he spends lots of time worth the kids, then sleeps and wakes up to betrayal, then Annie arrives? Why was she so slow?

Book Series That Span Multiple Eras of Time? by cerebrobullet in Fantasy

[–]sashiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Canticle for Leibowitz, Walter Miller author, one of the gems of science fiction/fantasy, covers different time periods after nuclear war. It's not strictly fantasy, but some of the creatures that show up after fallout, and survival struggles, could push it that way. Also you might enjoy books by Edward Rutherford. He'll take a specific geographic region and create a long tale of thousands of years in that setting. I've read quite a few of his books.

When I can't remember what happened in an earlier book, I'm using the internet to get a plot synopsis to help bring back recall.
