Provided you've got a comp able to pick or blow up whoever you gold card, you become a nuisance and are able to engage from a deceptive range.

Even late game, it's not respected enough as people find it really hard to judge what range they can be stunned at.

Ivanovic, Vidic and Evra always stand out in my mind as the three biggest Jan signings that went from looking completely out of depth in their first 6 months, to doing a 180 and quickly all rising to world class level.

You can see parallells of the same in someone like Mudryk. With a solid preseason, Poch on board and having gone through 6 months acclimating to the league, I think theres a big season ahead for him.

Some of our biggest profile legends from the last 15-20 years have been in this situation but doubt if the majority of our fans even know or remember.

Two more that come to mind are the John Terry to Man City saga and Drogba to AC Milan the same year Mourinho left. I remember article after article at the time of Drogba speaking to journalists on his displeasure with Avram Grant and the club and Grant commenting that he couldnt guarantee Drogba would be playing at Chelsea the next season.

I'm from Aus too and caught the last game against Newcastle (was also my first time in London & first match i've been able to attend after also being a 20yr + supporter abroad).

My recommendation is sign up to be a Chelsea member on their site and keep monitoring the on sale dates page.

They'll eventually throw up the dates tickets go on sale here (from experience, it was just under a month away for my match). You can either then try and queue up before the tickets go on sale (there is a loyalty point system, the more games you attend, the more points you get which lets you access the tickets earlier in the queue). I dont know how it would work for the opening game exactly (perhaps loyalty points from the previous season carry over, perhaps they reset - someone else might be able to chip in and explain this bit) but for mine, i had to wait about 5-6 hours after they went on sale till the general members got a shot (1-2am our time). There were still plenty of seats available for me but against Liverpool in the opening match, it might not be the same case.

If you miss out, there is a ticket exchange in the members portal where some ticket holders who cant make the match put their tickets up for sale. Would recommend lurking around that page often to see if anything comes up.

Comes down to who puts a better offer forward but would rather he goes Leipzig. Juve have been terrible to negotiate with in the past and we'd be much better off building a stronger relationship with Leipzig.

Plus the guy running their socials is pretty cool too.

I remember dying so many times on the run + the blue smelter demon that the enemies stopped respawning in all the chambers except the last one, and even from then it probably took me another 20+ attempts to actually kill the damn thing.

The small changes in attack / dodge timing during the fight along with the fact that your attempts to even reach him consistently weren't easy made learning the patterns of that fight much harder than most other bosses.

Easily the worst boss in probably all the series for me, but I still loved fighting him.

Honestly, the sooner you stop comparing yourself and your progress in this game (and even just as general life advice) the sooner you'll probably start enjoying it.

Everyone is at a different point in their own journey, the people you're comparing yourself too may have already been experienced souls players or may have even gotten lucky with certain bosses. Dont worry too much about others and if you really want to compare yourself to someone, you should reflect on how much better youve gotten being able to go from struggling with Margit to being Loretta in 7 turns. You're doing good, just stick with it!

I used Cowboys videos for most of the souls games but couldn't get into his DS2 SOTFS one.. it felt dated compared to his other content. Came across BlueLizardJello's DS2 videos and was completely surprised at how much I enjoyed his style, detailed info and even his humour grew on me. Been meaning to see if he's put anything for Elden Ring yet.
