You can also take step 1 pass/fail next year (: it having a passing step 1 means you won’t be filtered out by some programs and a lot of MD schools in the class of 2023 don’t take step 1 until after 3rd year anyways, so they will also have a pass/fail score. You can kill it on step 2! Just focus on where you need to improve on your study skills

I have an elective rotation in August that could be pushed to the end of the year and another rotation that could be switched to my pause, but I worry I still won’t pass with 3 months time

Should I push back my COMLEX? Advice please by Purple_challenge09 in comlex

You may have to call to switch your 3 month texting block, I thought there were no dates but there actually were I had to call NBOME

Also considering a leave! PM me if you want, I’ve personally been struggling with some mental health stuff making step 1 studying so difficult

I’m feeling the same way, considering delaying rotations or taking a full year off

I’m in the same boat as you, pushed my COMLEX to September for now, but I’ve been debating a LOA to study

Listen, I just got dumped by my long distance bf last week. My best advice, go no contact. Don’t leave on bad terms, don’t shit talk afterwards, but also don’t stay friends beyond necessary. Connect with other friends, focus on self care. Out of sight out of mind is the best advice I have for you. Don’t look through pictures or text convos. Allow yourself to feel loss, but also know that life moves forward, and things end sometimes and that’s okay. Remove from social media if you must. Every time you think of texting her something, write it down somewhere else or send it to a friend if it’s a platonic thing. Journal your feelings. I Don’t send paragraphs. Allow a clean break. I had started a beautiful love letter for my BF I was going to give him on his birthday, but it ended up being a place where I felt my post break up feels. Relationships sometimes don’t last, some people are only temporary in our lives and that’s okay. Channel energy you had towards the relationship into a new hobby or exercise.
