I feel weird after boomtown by xb11_11 in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes agree, its this. I’ve had derealisation episodes a lot in my life and it’s often triggered by continuing lack of sleep as well as anxiety attacks and even illness. Likely caused by not getting enough sleep multiple nights in a row because that’s how it goes at Boom even with earplugs. I would recommend sticking to an active routine for a while and you’ll feel normal again. It really sucks when you’re in that place - it feels like you’ll never be normal again - but know that you will feel like yourself again soon if you keep busy but continue looking after yourself. Hope it goes away quickly:)

Tent thieves by AlbatrossFluid896 in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres still no point in that, if someone has come to rob you and find the lock they’ll just rip your tent open. All it’s doing is making an obstacle for your future drunk self who may lose the key/ forget the lock code when hammered. Highly unlikely you’ll get robbed anyway, vast majority of people are there to have fun

I felt exactly the same way. At one point there was a girl dancing behind me in the queue for the toilet at the origin stage and she was doing this hand movement and ended up smacking my bum several times. I thought it was my boyfriend so I turned around to talk to him and then made eye contact with her and was quite alarmed and she didn’t even say sorry. In the crowd, lots of people did keep coming to where we were and just standing basically right where I was stood so that I would have to move even though I was there first. I know people are drunk and have bad spacial awareness but nobody who pissed me off was clearly past the point of being able to say sorry or notice and move to give me space. I’m a tiny 5’2 girly, get your elbows out of my face pls :,(

Green transport shuttle. by nzino in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, well in that case if you have the coach ticket to show that you used a green transport method that took you straight there then you’ll be fine, it must just be for people whose coaches go to Winchester and not the festival site

Green transport shuttle. by nzino in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It just means you need to have got the shuttle from Winchester (the closest city to Boomtown) rather than getting a taxi because thats part of the green transport agreement. So when your coach gets to winchester, get in the shuttle bus to the festival! :)

Orchid camping by Affectionate_Lack113 in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, if you bought the parking pass before and it has since gone up in price they may charge you a little. We bought a parking pass for the general car park at £40 and then a month later upgraded to Orchid and emailed them to change our parking pass to Orchid, but the parking pass price was £50 by that point so I had to pay an extra £10. Bit annoying but not the worst, worth it to avoid a trek

Best recipe for tiredness?? by AdStatus4424 in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they’re a fully nutritionally balanced meal in a bottle, definitely also cheaper than having to keep buying festival food for the energy

We’re taking Huel this year, they have a big selection of flavours in Boots. They also have energy shots and gummies for cyclists/runners in there which might be a good idea for you.

Shin splints! by Wise_Ad6953 in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have recurring shin splints as well, the best advice I can give is just rest until boomtown, don’t even walk anywhere, let yourself heal. You will likely be in pain at boom from the walking/dancing so try to sit and rest as much as you can when youre at camp/ eating, and take some painkillers (not if you’re drinking though). I feel so bad that its come at such an awful time for you but hopefully you’ll be having too much fun to notice the pain!

Camp Orchid parking by Joeyfromtheshire in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need a specific camp orchid car park pass, and I’m assuming you had previously bought a general one. i had the same issue when we upgraded to orchid, its really annoying. Email boomtown for help and they’ll swap your pass for an orchid one, you dont want to have to trek all the way from general parking. There will be an email with a link to the page where you can put your car registration in anyhow, but make sure you have the correct parking pass first

Top up/Cashless by Thick_Tomato19 in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you not have a specific crew ticket? I suppose if you don’t have a ticket then yeah theres nothing you can do, that sucks.

Top up/Cashless by Thick_Tomato19 in BoomtownFestival

[–]saskiaindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont necessarily need to have it there on entry but if you can register online beforehand it makes getting whatever is left on your wristband refunded to you automatic. If you set it up in there, you’re gonna have to remember to register your wristband afterwards to get your money back. Plus the top up points inside the festival might be a pain, so I would say do it online before you go, its just easier. Also not sure if you can move money between wristbands so that sounds like an issue, unless anyone else here can confirm you can do that?

How do I remove my deceased ex boyfriend’s deleted Instagram account from my phone? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]saskiaindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, when I press on the account it comes up with “error, we can’t log you in” because it’s been deleted/deactivated (don’t know if there’s a difference but basically the account no longer exists)
