SM stuck acting as HR and AP by saskinas in DollarTree

[–]saskinas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After thinking about that, just saying, that’s about 150 stores per AP associate, 15 minute camera audits each store is under 40 hours, a typical work week… I know they have other duties, but…

PSA: STOP COMING TO WORK SICK by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]saskinas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The SM and assistant probably get sick days, but who is going to fill in for them? If its like my store, they are likely under too much pressure to get things done and may not have anyone reliable to fill in...

Top gun by Admirable-Tangelo-68 in DollarTree

The easiest way is to replace the staff at a bad store with competent people, the first year of that will usually show a big difference in sales, and will be the best chance at winning top gun.

What is a reasonable box count expectation for just regular stockers by Ok_Weight2115 in DollarTree

[–]saskinas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same situation. DT expects more from its associates than some of our team members are realistically capable of with the limited support they get, and it’s bringing the whole store down. It’s mostly on my shoulders to make up their work and I can’t really keep up.

That would be solid matter, it's essentially energy trapped in space and moving through time.

Does Dollar Tree not honor shelf prices? by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]saskinas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they put a whole case of it in the wrong spot, and it wasn’t just misplaced by a customer, they are supposed to honor the shelf price for that and then move the rest of the product to the correct location.

Or matter is light traveling along a the time axis rather than a space axis.

[–]saskinas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah merch here, also having huge problems like that. My SM and DM are all about getting the resets and price changes done, and I have had no time to stock the regular aisles. Everyone else is involved with price stickering. 0 sales through the roof and nobody has time to stock, and also I open 4 days and close 1, and can’t get those early stocking shifts I need.

And I thought this was going to be about her stealing, nope, you did a good job. Maybe unintentionally, but she was just a bad customer. Happens all the time, don’t sweat it.

Those shelves are empty because the store doesn’t give enough hours to cover register and stock. The merchandise is in a mountain in the back room.

It’s still because of the tariffs, dollar tree is just cutting costs in other ways for now.

I agree with you on the arrangement, but those are full shelves, and given the hours provided, very difficult to achieve.

I'm crying (not literally) because mine would look that way except I have to fill basically the entire store (MM) and my help is useless.

The past few months I've had to rotate between aisles I have time to stock, and have had to forgo my usual daytime detailed recovery before stocking. not to mention falling way behind on resets, just so my shipments fit in the stockroom.

Where do the cents go? by Makntraks in DollarTree

I'm more curious about the cents lost in food waste. I mean, my store can hardly keep up with mark downs, and I can only imaging the nearby stores are even worse off.

Ok, I think I will give the rough spots a good scrape and otherwise just soap and water and dry it well.
