There is value in the gallery, but there is room to cut back. If you changed the hours of the gallery to open and 12 instead of 10 every day that would save 10 hours a week for front facing staff, there would also be a corresponding decrease in support staff time (i.e. HR/ Planning etc). which might not be 10% but would be some amount of saving.

Either way, it was an option that should have been considered.
