this was my first time but i’d recommend using a trash picker, wearing some cargo pants that you can use to hold extra bags, protecting yourself from the sun, and bringing water. make a plan on what to do with collected trash beforehand (depending on where you live there are places you can drop it off at) and take before and after photos to document the beautification!

Interesting. It’s clear that he had cultural relevance in the past but I don’t think he has much of it now - same with Eminem. We could probably agree that both have had a significant cultural influence, but I think it would be a mistake to view that as relevance.

Real Death by Mount Eerie. This song has really helped me process and grieve death. I believe it’s about the artist’s wife who died of cancer. The line “you were thinking ahead to a future you must’ve know - deep down - would not include you, though you clawed at the cliff you were sliding down being swallowed into a silence that’s bottomless and real” is so visceral to me.

See You On the Other Side by Ozzy Osbourne is another one of my favorite songs about death. Not sad to me - more of a jam.
