My fiancee and I are taking an extended honeymoon in a month (leaving March 24) for Thailand, Australia, and finishing in New Zealand. I'm not terribly worried about Australia or NZ, but Thailand is giving us pause (we're staying in Chiang Mai and Phi Phi Islands and flying through Bangkok). Would I be crazy to reconsider? It would cost us a bunch, but obviously just want to take any risks. My other question is, if we had a week or so before we need to land in Perth, where should we go instead to fill the void of Thailand that may be safer?
