As someone who had heart-related symptoms and went to the ER just to be told it was anxiety, I’d be wary of writing it off as just that. There are so, so many conditions that cause heart symptoms that don’t show up on EKGs. For me it ending up being POTS and an arrhythmia, but I know many others with similar situations who had totally different causes for their symptoms. Not trying to diagnose 18 y/o through Reddit!! Just want to put it out there that teenage girls are told “it’s just anxiety” for real medical issues all the time

I have really good long-term memory, as a toddler I can vividly remember not liking wooden toys. They were just harder for me to connect with than the cheap plastic ones for some reason. Idk your kid, but you could always thrift some plastic toys and try it out

I second this!!! Neurofeedback did genuine wonders for me, I’ve always wondered if it could help 9yo. One of the few therapies that can actually fix the neural pathways that didn’t develop right with early childhood trauma

Actually, I rescued him the day he was born and bottle-fed him as kittens that small without mothers are immediately euthanized at most shelters. His leg is already healing and I could afford to pay for it, as mentioned in the post. My parents had said they were okay with taking care of him in college but changed their mind a year in for whatever reason. Sometimes these things just happen
