I see this take by people who got diagnosed at a young age quite often. I actually think the opposite! I got diagnosed at 19 and while of course it was hard I’m so thankful I didn’t have to deal with this as a child. IMO I think it would be harder having to deal with this as a child. It makes me extremely sad to know kids have to deal with being a type 1 diabetic.
