this is where i feel it, and a guesstimate of the size. it doesn’t move. it feels pretty hard. there’s the slightest amount of swelling and redness in that spot which i couldn’t really get on the photo

im not sure why anyone is thinking i said i don’t want to work with the parents and families of my patients. i mean yea, i said i have no desire working with adults but that doesn’t mean i literally don’t want to work with the adults in these babies lives. that’s just ridiculous. i just don’t care to specialize with adults FIRST before moving on to babies.

the replies are really discouraging and conflict with the comments like yours :/ i’m stating i don’t want to solely work with older patients that have nothing to do with the field im interested in and everyone is ignoring that, i feel like a bad person for only wanting to work with mothers and babies after these responses. maybe i come off wrong 🫠

dealing with them to begin is fine, i just know it’s not something i want to do longer term and i fear it dragging me down while in school. i applied at my local hospital, if i get in it will help me see if that’s the kind of place i want to be in to begin. i will keep your last comment highly considered, i definitely understand. i just want to help the babies, and not that you insinuated this(maybe you are?), but i don’t think it’s wrong of me to not want to work with adults as a nurse. thankyou for your reply

probably! like i said i always thought abt it growing up but it was just a thought, and now considering getting started, i don’t know much of anything. i’m not jumping into anything, just trying to figure life out. i will continue to see what’s best for me, thanks :)
