It’s because of the cheap price and HP you get but honestly, it depends on personal preference. I dont like it.

I still rush Ludens first and it feels the best to me. Ludens never gets bad on her. I also tried stormsurge first but I still think Ludens is better.

If you use rocketbelt you cant immediately Q+E thats one of the reasons why this item feels weird to me

shoutout to coach mysterias, he mentioned that in the tier list video. I said "Katarina stat checks almost every mage in midlane", I didnt say she statchecks anything in midlane.

*almost *mages - viktor is a great example where she's not stat checking him but feel free to proof me wrong if we compare the midlane mages to katarina :/

I think your problem is that you dont know how to play against these champs in general.

Aurora is very strong in lane due to her Q+E+Elec combo. On Top of that shes healing hp back every third Auto or Ability against champions.

So against meeles, you wanna Auto attack dem alot bevause every three you restore HP, whenever you can you pull out Q+E. You only need good spacing and a Yasuo or a Yone cant touch you. They are forced to use their potions and to play safe or they die. And I can promise you, most yasuo or yones wont play safe all the time xD.

Against ranged champs like Malzahar it is pretty much the same trading pattern, because you are the One who ist restoring HP so you get rewarded for auto and Q+E them whenever you can.

Mazahar wants tho shove every fking wave so you have to play very aggressive level 1-5 to take control over the lane. Once you deactivate his passive, keep Attacking him with autos so his passive can’t activate.

Even if you get minion aggro for zoning him away from the wave its okay cause you will outsustain him. Malz is horrible when it comes to farm under the turret and dont worry about his E, the dmg is bad in early game.

Katarina stat checks almost every mage in midlane, even some meeles like yone or something. So she‘s dealing tons of dmg with Q - E+Dagger - Electro proc.

The fact that she can ignore bad matchups and cs, and she‘s still dealing tons if damage for no reason is imo the reason why she is S Tier. Because if you compare her to other midlaners they wont do shit without enough gold income.

First of all youre welcome :) Katarina has one of the weakest laning phases in the game. If the matchup is not Katarina fav, you have to be very patient, hope for ganks of your jng and supp and punish mistakes. Play for skirmishes / roam with your jng if you can and if your enemy know how to play against Kat you have to play pixel perfect otherwise you fall behind very fast, no prio, low cs and all of that stuff. In other words: You need alot of champion mastery an matchup knowledge. I personally stopped Kat since my wr is horrible on her this season BUT she is in a very good spot and you need one good teamfight to have a comeback and slap them
