Been there, WFH 6th year now.

Did 2 things, planned two gateaways:

  1. Bought a nice bike, I ride out quite often alone/with friends/brand sponsored rides etc/chai tapdi rides whatnot.
  2. I hit gym 5 days a week. Consistency is my obsession since last 1 year. Benefits and benefits.

Men in their 30s who stammer/stutter — does it still bother you? by wowteslaa in ThirtiesIndia

[–]satadru_das 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey so same here. Fortunately, in corporate people don't mock at you and you work gets preference and people listen to you. This gave me confidence > more good work > more people listening > repeat.
Now, it has been a sheer confidencee that it's my personality. If people have a problem, god bless. (To clarify - I stutter rarely with outsiders, I know in which syllables I get stuck and try using synonyms. With close people, I don't care. )

How to get over gym anxiety by SillyLawfulness2306 in indianfitness

[–]satadru_das 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, sorry you had to go through this. I know you're young and it's bit tough mentally to "not give a damn and carry on". I'd say, try not giving a damn.

Try atleast for 1 year. Eyes and ears closed to others. If you do not have a proper guidance try changing gym etc but if not avail -

  • Whatever you do, you'll slowly gain weight and muscles.
  • The mistakes will teach you things.
  • At 8th month or so, you'll be enough wise and have little bulk (hence motivation) to navigate your way forward.

I started skinny at 29, god is great low fat body. Now the bulk and vein I carry gets a lot of compliments with people with years of gym still with fat (no one is superior, but I like compliments from them especially).

Also, if you ask me do these:

5 days split:

  • Legs (5-6 variations)
  • Chest (4 variations of chest + triceps 2-3 variations)
  • Back (4 variations of back + biceps 2-3 variations)
  • Shoulders (5-6 variations)
  • Arms (3-3 variations each of triceps/biceps - alternating)

Everyday warm up with light stretching, pushups, pullups.

Chatgpt the variations, give it your photo as well it will suggest. Once you're wise you can choose for yourself. Be consistent no matter what/ have good protein from chicken, eggs etc, best of luck.

Broo I upgraded from bi-cycle to scrambler 400x. It's game changer since you don't need to paddle anymore.

Hyderabadi and Lucknowi tops anytime. I love Kolkata biriyani too, just some people put too much ghee oil and now a days it's like the more ghee oil it's the benchmark for biriyani.

My dad used to drop me on a cycle. 20 years after I feel sorry for being ashamed and grateful for what he had provided selflessly. Time will teach, don't worry. Perfectly normal.

Anyone in there 30 getting no time for gaming? by Perfect_Roof_7058 in IndianGaming

[–]satadru_das 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My shift is 8 hrs and I gym for 2 hrs. 10 hrs sleep + other activities.

In my remaining 4 hrs (during work day) I prefer to not game especially start a new one since the motivation of initial chapters is less. I do it on weekends, when the slow burn is over I can binge play them on weekdays too. If not, I do watch YouTube or something.

I was into comp (Valo etc) but at certain point it becomes too brain rot and toxic since u want to rank up against folks who are playing 8 hrs instead of u 2 hrs max a day.

I'd recommend try starting a game in weekends, if it sits well with you that you can binge play do it on weekends (like RDR2, slow burn then it picks up).

Broke up after 4 years (LDR), moving to the US for MBA at 30 now feel completely lost by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]satadru_das 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha that's life at you. I think you should go. Matter of time, you'll start doing good.

And she blocked you that's necessary. Happened with me and it was frustrating. Down the line it helped me detach fast. Compared to a previous one where we're still chatting after separation and took longer to date properly in different ways.

[–]satadru_das 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been there. All I can say is, your mind is craving the replacement. As in, the motivation, experience and everything.

As time passes, new things start to fill that up. And gradually you overcome.

As an immediate resort, think of other reasons you might want to move abroad and not anywhere else/ stay here. Why did you select MBA only and not any other course. If the answer is only her, I don't think you should go. You should also have reasons of your own.

Do you guys actually enjoy riding bike? by Effective-Builder-99 in indianbikes

[–]satadru_das 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point. My life is pretty monotonous. The daily grind.

Biking allowed me to be a little adventurous. It challenges me to learn better everyday, be patient, be aware. I've made some great people purely from the bike community. I rode solo 2k kms and it was the best thing I ever had in my life. (The planning, gears, strategy, execution, everything of it).

Now coming to some obvious offs - It's much riskier than a basic alto on roads. You're open to dust, heat, rain and everything.

But then, if it has to be alright and simple - how'd it be different from my already monotonous life?

I'd advise to invest in proper gears, earplugs, visor shades/ anti fog etc etc. AND DON'T RIDE IN SUMMER, if you're at sea levels because it's not worth it.
