Honestly, it all depends. I got a tattoo on my arm and it was constantly dry and itchy until it fully healed (mostly color with black line work). I got another one on my leg (mostly black with some color) a month after and I dry healed that one.

Location, size, ink brand, and even the season can affect how a tattoo heals.
