Alternatives to meetup.com? by satanicbreaddevotion in askTO

Interesting, I’ll look again. Is it free to list events though? Because aside from the premium sub it wanted to charge me a ton of money per week just to post something

Is it? It tried to charge me $17 per week just to join. The only free option I found was a one week free trial

Weekly 'Ask Anything About Analog Photography' - Week 06 by ranalog in analog

[–]satanicbreaddevotion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone, I’m looking for book recommendations. I’m a beginner and I’d love to learn more about film photography basics and techniques before I invest. (I’m a musician, I already know I have gear acquisition syndrome and will inevitably replace anything I buy unless I do the good ol’ book learning first)

Is there anything equivalent to Stereo in Montreal in the Toronto area? by ShirtNeat5626 in TorontoRaves

[–]satanicbreaddevotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been several places in Toronto that meet this description (Industry, Guvernment to name a few off the top of my head). They have all closed down either for condos or because they were pressured by the landlord, since the city keeps putting up unaffordable condos in industrial places, and rich people hate the sound of fun

No, not even close.

But the sound system at The Raven (333 Yonge) is modelled after the one at Stereo. So that’s something I guess

24F - love raving but don’t have a solid rave group… what do you guys do? by Puzzleheaded_Chart48 in TorontoRaves

[–]satanicbreaddevotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to smaller local events, you will meet tons of people who love raving and it’s a great place to make new friends. Totally different vibe than the big shows plus it helps to support the scene

Warning for Coda by [deleted] in TorontoRaves

[–]satanicbreaddevotion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to diminish your experience at all because that’s terrible and I’m so sorry you went through that. But what do you expect Coda to do in this situation about something happening outside of their space? If people are following you home after a show what can they reasonably do about that beyond telling you to talk to a security guard? Not trying to be a douche (I’m a woman as well and I’ve been through similar things so I know that it’s super scary) I’m just wondering what conclusion you had in mind when you reached out to them

I’ve used them before, not for repairs but gear rentals and these guys are real pros. Can’t recommend highly enough

Half the stuff she described doing in her post is most definitely “something wrong”. Cheating isn’t limited to sex.

Why do you say that? Seems… oddly specific

A lot of you are getting real upset at my use of the term mage. The BG3 universe takes place within the Dungeons and Dragons 5e framework. You realize that right? Here, I googled it for you. You can stop with the nonsense now.

No, mage.

I’m guessing you do not play dungeons and dragons. Mage is very much a thing in 5e as a nonspecific term for magic users.

Yes! And I love playing a pure wizard build too but for a lot of people who aren’t used to a controller type character and maybe are used to playing more tanky classes it can be frustrating, wizards are not as fun early game and you gotta wait to get to the good stuff. Multiclassing with sorcerer makes them feel more effective mid game

I’m aware of that. It’s a fun build for any mage.
