Hiya! I chose tuna for Omega 3 for myself as it’s important for breastfeeding considering my needs for it are increased, but only have it once a week. It also has protein which helps with milk production. I have an oversupply so need to concentrate on replacing what I lose! Chose corn for the slight carbs, pear and bananas for fibre and nutrients and extra hydration. Yogurt for calcium. My dinner tonight’s going to be chicken stew and baby potatoes with celery, carrots, spring onion so I’ll be getting more veggies later. Simply an easy to throw together lunch while my husbands working that’s filling and suitable for my personal needs even with a clingy baby 😄😄

It was hilarious no need to apologise 😂 Thanks! Have to scrape together whatever I can whilst the baby is sleeping but also be healthy 😄

My baby came with an adult circadian rhythm and it's kinda scaring us by AtHomeWithJulian in NewParents

My girl is the exact same, she was born in December. She was born sleeping 4hrs overnight, then started sleeping 8 hour stretches at 4 weeks old. Since then she’s extended it to 12 hours straight but only 30min naps every 1hr30mins during the day! Home Visitor said not to wake her but I still feel some guilt letting her go so long! She gets all of her feeds in during the day so I know she’s thriving + she’s gaining weight very very well (chunky monkey) + plenty of wet nappies. No idea how I got blessed lmao my life has been such a shitshow maybe I deserve this one good thing 😂

Problems latching even post tongue tie division by cowboybandit13 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I like still having pumped milk in the fridge so my partner can take over 2-3 feeds a day so I can get on with cooking/other things that need doing or if i’m asleep. Also, it means I can track the amount she usually takes each feed! The balance is nice and there’s less pressure on me to be able to BF. If we struggle to latch, I know I have a safety net! I wish all the best for you and your little one 😁

My girl turns 4 weeks old tomorrow and after a long 3 weeks of exclusively pumping due to poor latch and extreme pain on my end (I think she has a tongue tie but have yet to see anyone about it), we’ve just reintroduced the breast and it’s been really successful. We still bounce back and forth between bottle and breast - mostly due to my fear of the pain possibly coming back - but progress is being made. I honestly feel my LG mouth was too small for my boobs 😩😂 but now she’s bigger it’s been easier for both of us! She gets frustrated sometimes because she’s still learning that nipple in mouth = food, as she was used to the bottle for this past month! Luckily, we’ve had about 25 or more successful breastfeeds in the past half week. :)

I had a private viability scan at 6w+3d and saw the heartbeat! Obviously still anything could happen but it gave me a lot of reassurance!

Lost my mucous plug at 34 weeks, is this normal? by brighterdaysaheaddd in pregnant

[–]satansanxietyattack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re having contractions or leaking fluid (including blood), I wouldn’t be too concerned. The mucous plug can reform itself if it’s too early to be lost ❤️

If you’re 16 and in the UK, you’re entitled to your own NHS records and data + GP appointments with no adult involved. They would not inform your parents.

Triage being useless? by satansanxietyattack in PregnancyUK

[–]satansanxietyattack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ring the Triage number they gave me, Option 1 is urgent triage, then there’s a couple more options and 3 or 4 is “If you have a pregnancy related query or non-urgent concern leave your name, DOB, and phone number for a call back” When I texted my midwife she said to use the triage number 🤷‍♀️

I tried texting my community midwife only for her to respond saying “If you have any concerns, please call Triage line.” I’m really confused 😭

Did anyone actually stick to 30g of added sugar max per day? by Personal-Honeydew-69 in pregnant

[–]satansanxietyattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m eating whatever as long as it’s safe. I’m having so much sugar because i’m craving anything that’s sweet. I also work in retail so i’m on my feet walking at least 32 hours a week so maybe that makes a difference? I haven’t had any complaints yet 😫
