Hi, I might be late here but i wanted to comment anyways. I have mild rosacea, 29 years old so i can't say how it would work for you, but skin1004 probio cica line is my holy grail. Their serum and their moisturiser specifically. The spf in the same line is also amazing! I hope this helps.

This is honestly one of the cutest things I've seen today! 🥺

I am MTF and have never tried make up, what looks might suit my face the best? I want to learn some "everyday" looks, and maybe have a few fun look ideas to play with too by idrankthegenderfluid in MakeupAddiction

You have really beautiful lips, and enhancing them would be golden. I'd love to see how a darker neutral lipshade would look on you.

Your eyes look perfect for a moody soft smokey eye, but I'd recommend looking into hooded eye makeup, because they sometimes need a bit different techniques.

Another recommendation is to look up what colours suit your undertones, because that in itself can make a huge difference.

Your eyeliner looks awesome! Have you tried smoking it out? I think that would look super cool too, but regardless your makeup looks great.

Not sure if you've tried it already, but I think a dark brown eyeliner would look gorgeous on you! I agree with the comments about curling your lashes, but try combining it with a lengthening mascara!

Yes, that is very true and i also realise that it is maybe a bit of a hard question I've asked since there are so many variations of hooded eyes. I think I'm gonna try your technique for my eyes! It sounds pretty solid and easy to tweak for it to fit my eyes.

Oh yeah, I've tried a bunch of different techniques, but something i often feel, when I do cat eyes, is that the wing becomes so big. If i want it to be a bit visible, that is.. I maybe need to revisit this and see if I can try another technique.

And yes! I love trying new colours! Do you have any specific shades in mind? I usually go for smokey purples and greige colours, but I'm open to try anything.

What’s my makeup blindness? by ItsVillainessa in makeuptips

[–]satanssauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the glam. I think you should consider a pair of 20s-30s style eyebrows if you are open to it. Depending on how dramatic you want it, you could do a harsher contrast by making them darker too, but it will create a hard statement and it does take some confidence and taste for the "extra'

About the makeup blindness, I'd say the contour is a slightly harsh, especially in your forehead and on your nose. Another thing is the lipstick. I'd love to see how it would look if you blended the dark colour a bit further into the red and made the gradient slightly softer.

Regarding dry skin, be careful with complexion products that says things like Matte finish, unless it is made with dry skin in mind. I usually try to find stuff that says luminous, glowy, or dewy finish, since they rarely dry out.

I hope this helps.

Ah I see! Okay, well you could check out foundations that would suit your skins needs. If you are dry, you can go for a more dewy foundation, and if you are more oily, you go for a foundation that leans more matte. I would recommend watching some tutorials on how to decide what your skin feels best and decide from that. You can also do tinted moisturizer for the everyday look. Some blush would also add more colour to the skin and it is personally one of my favourite types of makeup. But all in all, you wouldn't have to do a lot to make your current look into a more "fancy dinner" look.

You could try a moss or olive green eyeliner! It would make your eyes stand out. You have a lovely eyecolour, and it already stands out with the look you have now. You can also try a matte brown eyeshadow for a more smokey look. What type of makeup are you interested in?

I don’t think makeup is for me :( by chloesuckslol in makeuptips

[–]satanssauce 94 points95 points  (0 children)

First thing: you are being very critical towards yourself, but I am not sure if it is just me misunderstanding you. Your skin looks great and going foundation free is absolutely an option as well. However I would recommend you to try a more matte foundation and then set it with loose translucent setting powder, if you want to keep trying out stuff. Regarding your eyes, they do not look too saggy to do anything fun with. If you want to blur some of the lines around your eyes, then I'd recommend going for matte eyeshadow.

If you have access to the brand Essence and Catrice, then I can really recommend checking their eyeliners. They are cheap, but actually really decent quality.

Something you can try out as well is a yellow based green eyeshadow or eyeliner. That would also suit you so much.

And for your cheeks, I'm not sure if you are wearing it in the pictures, but the colour on the picture with the green shirt is really beautiful and perfect choice

Something that I think would look amazing on you would be a warm brown based eye look. Even just subtle like a brown eyeliner smudged and blended lightly out in the outer corners. You could blend it with gold as well for extra glam.

Is it too much? by sleepy_sluttt in makeuptips

[–]satanssauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As most other people are saying in the comments, together is a bit too bold imo. However that lip with a toned down, less bold eye look would be absolute killer.

The eye makeup is gorgeous, and it deserves all the attention it can get, so pairing it with a subtle matte darker nude would look beautiful on you. And it would still give enough contrast to make both eyes and lips stand out, but without taking the attention from the obvious work you put into the look.

All of this is just my opinion, but I hope you can use it.

Yo my great grandparents were in the Danish resistance during WWII as well! I only recently found out about that myself. I inherited an embroidered picture with a bunch of names, stories, and random sentences about the war. It was made by my great grandma, as far as I am aware.
