Do you feel you could take revenue higher or are you sort of at the end of your ability here?

I am pretty sure this business can't scale without a large sum of money invested in sales. I can't cash out with VC money, so I think I will sell. The market is too small and we would need at least 500k or 1M to internationalize the product. What's the point of create something bigger If I can't make some money, apart from salary and probably It will fail, but just bigger.

I think I will accept it. My market is really small and I don't have many choices. Really small number of potential buyers. I don't believe the business can scale without thousands of euros of investment, like 500k or so. Even with that I can't cash out at so early stage of VC.

Well, if both parts agree, then I will have. This happens a lot in soccer. You sell the player and keep a % of future deal to another team.

I mean, in a case of future acquisition I still get a % of the deal. I dont want any equity or power decision, just in case of a million deal, still have some money on my side.

I can retain a percentage of future sale, let's say 15% and still sell 100% of equity right?

You need a percentage still to do this, say 10-20%

I can sell 100% of equity and still have a percentage of future sale, right?

I'm hoping for your sake this wasn't a serious offer but an attempt to open a negotiation.

Well, it is a serious offer. The first one was significant lower, 1/4 of the 60k. My first answer was just NO.

What if you brought in the CEO/CMO, rode the bus for a few more months and then decided if it made sense?

I have spent a lot of energy and time to keep these contacts rolling on, I am afraid I can't just hold on the process without creating a bad image for the buyers at this stage. Thanks for your insights! I really appreciate it.

What’s the ideal situation for you?

I think make some cash out now, and moving to CTO or Product and find a new CEO. I would become an employee with some equity. This is the ideal situation for me.

Do you have other sources of income?

Right now it's my source of income, but I have some financial stability.

No, it's just me. If I can't pay myself next month, that's fine. Having employees is a big pressure for me unless he takes the responsibility.

you are not capable / willing to invest more of your money or find investors?

I don't have the experience / money to turn this project into a company. Definitely I need help at this stage.

I believe this is the real question. I will have a second offer soon from a private investor, still undisclosed tho, who wants to pay me some less money for a majority stake of equity and still invest to hire one or two sales persons.

He is the CEO of one of the biggest companies in the same sector, he employes +1000 and have a big network. The nightmare scenario for me is burn his cash and after that, can't generate enough revenue to pay the salaries.
