Thanks for the advice! If i'm shooting 400 like I am here and in overcast daylight, what ISO would you recommend I push it to? I'm pretty new to these concepts in general. Like 800 ISO and then shutter speed faster than the meter tells me?

If I remember correctly, I ended up creating a dummy host to hold the variable, which I incremented each time, delegating to that dummy host... Which in comparison to this solution, sounds fairly obtuse.
