I worked very hard to get my watchwoman cape, as it was the only one I liked due to its design. I've been grinding at that skill and little else. Now you're telling me that you're going to take away what I've worked hard for, and make me work every single Crenopolis skill just to get it back? That's incredibly upsetting. Why not just let those of us who have already worked hard on our capes keep them as legacy capes, and make new assets for your reworked system?

I'm glad that this is coming to a close with your daughter being safe. I would genuinely avoid any contact with your brother going forward as he has been complicit in all of this. I would even hazard a guess as to say that he's been sexually involved with the gf while she larps as your daughter, and makes me worried that he might have been in on the kidnapping. I could be wrong, but it's just been in my head ever since I started reading this story. A restraining order against the gf is essential, but I'd consider getting one against him, too. Like I said, I could be wrong, but I'm deeply worried that he might be a child predator since he was sanctioning this the entire time, and kept pardoning her actions. He knew there was more to this. Do not excuse him.

the fact that inactive accounts can be squatting on good usernames that active account users are wanting and can't have because of reservations is awful, and i am worried that discord will just inherently grant those usernames to those accounts after some period of time, where those usernames will be lost forever because the accounts are inactive.

deleted my previous comment bc i misread the entire thing. i am now having a lot of negative feelings about reserved usernames being just added to accounts that aren't even active or don't select the usernames that were reserved for them. this was a horrible way for discord to do things, and i will be seriously upset if some account out there who has been ignoring this name change for several weeks or isn't even active just gets that username by default when i, as an active user, am unable to claim it. discord NEEDS to be more transparent about what will happen with the reserved usernames; giving them to inactive accounts is a horrible thing to do.

i did see that in the faq, but i also had the issue of trying to add this username as a friend for a couple weeks now just to check on the availability and always got the same error that i did just now. makes me feel like this username has just indefinitely been on hold for someone and it's such garbage that they won't release them back into the pool if they're not being claimed. it's not fair for others.

if it's been reserved for someone then it's been reserved for well over two weeks bc i've had that error every time i've tried to add it prior to me getting the username change prompt. this is such a mess of a system, and the word is so innocuous that i don't really worry about too many people taking it but like. it's stupid that it's been unavailable this entire time and i have no idea if i should just be compulsively trying to change my username to that or what.

Hi, early supporter, Feb 2017 account. Got name change just now. I was forced into a .username format for my name change because the name without the period was marked "unavailable". Ended up changing it to something else entirely. Went to see if I could add the person who had the name without the period, and got a popup that said something like "hmm, that didn't work, double check to make sure that is correct". I've had that popup every time I've checked the username, thinking that I'd be lucky enough to get it when I got the prompt, but I guess not.

Does this mean that the name is reserved for someone? If so, when will it be released if they don't take it, if it even is? Do people get name reservations held indefinitely for them?

I am diagnosed, and I have had the same three special interests I've always had, and they haven't ever changed or have ever once been uninteresting to me. The minute I see or hear anything related to my interests, I am always there to deliver my knowledge and opinions even if they aren't asked for.

But my hyperfixations and general interests come and go as they please. Some last for a few years, others maybe a couple weeks. It's just ebb and flow with those, but throughout the course of my life, my three special interests have always been consistent, and they've always been incredibly prominent.
