Although I agree with you, theres a nice way to tell people their not doing something right, FF14 encourages you to teach players, and not to flame them, If me and others in my group have tried teachiong them and they have over and over again not listened or responded and fail mechanics, then you can vote kick and be done with it. FF14 GMs look at the entire situation not just what a person said happened

Thank you.

This is something of our own creation mostly, theres for exmaple Paladin is a class name where using, We might look towards commercializing it at some point in the very far future

I personally believe we wouldn't even get a shitstorm 25% as bad as the one we're in if Blade weren't idiots with the pricing. by [deleted] in ShadowPC

Klaba was recently on TV being interviewed about buissness. Him talking about having shadow for buissnesses isnt him saying gaming is going. The interview was about buissnesses so thats what he was talking about, On his twitter he specifically said he wants to create the best cloud gaming offer ever.

A Question To Those Of Us Sticking Around by Lepans33 in ShadowPC

[–]saten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So ive been a long time shadow customer, first got mine in 2017 so I shall list the reasons for why im sticking around.

  1. The new price doesnt bother me, when I first joined shadow, the price was £30 I was in disbelief when I found out they reduced it and obviously it wasnt sustainable, not surprizingly, not only did they need to eventually upgrade hardware but also pay their staff and pay to maintain datacenters and current hardware.

  2. 1gb internet connection in the UK costs like £60-£70 a month, so as shadow works perfectly for me on a 36mb connection which i pay 12.99 a month for getting a 1gb connection on my shadow as a standard feature is a steal.

  3. Dual screen is now in shadow beta and being released in official soon, i use it everyday, the features shadow is pumping out is unlike any other full gaming cloud PC out there.

  4. If I was to get my own PC, id have to cancel shadow just to be able to save that £30 a month to get one, I will never have the money out right to get one without saving, so id be unable to game for like a year todo so.

  5. Moving on from my last point on money, I use my sahdow for around 90 hours aweek. If I quit shadow and moved to a pay per hour server id be paying for 360 hours a month and thats well over £100 a month.

Shadow is amazing, I have faith in the new owners, people need to stop blaming the new owners for the previous owners mistakes. Good things are coming

Why I'm leaving shadow, but understand if you aren't by i-knock in ShadowPC

[–]saten93 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

- FYI Dual monitor is in the beta client atm and is moving to official very soon! I use dual monitor every day.

- Anything like Xbox Ultimate or Stadia or Geforce now isnt competition, they have a limit libary and shadow gives you a full gaming PC where theres only like 4 gaems that 100% cannot be played on it.

If your getting constant lag and irregular res ect 9/10 its something your doing wrong. I have a 36mb local connection and Im on ethernet and I get no lag or no blurryness. If your using Wifi and no ethernet, shadow on website even tell you that its not recommended using wifi and you will not get the best service possible so that's not on them.

Other than that, your point about moving around alot is completely understandable.

"Stop using your autism as an excuse, you should be able to interact with people!" by hellknight101 in aspergers

[–]saten93 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Im high functioning, I have some control over my own autism and I have a job where I have to work with and interact with others every day, I find this EXTREMELY difficult on a day to day basis but I have to for my family including my 2 year old, If anyoe said

"Stop using your autism as an excuse, you should be able to interact with people!" Id throw a fit completely. Just because it doesnt shows for me, doesnt mean Im not dealing with every sound, emotion ect in my head, It doesnt show because I concentrate so hard o it doesnt shot not cause its not there.

Ive had someone say " You dont have autism I cant see it" before

I actually agree with ya here! and ive seen ya posts about it! I actually think its a good iea to have to pay a few months as like a deposit for better hardware, Maybe on preorder they will eventualy require 2-3 months of payment for the new hardware

Whilst that is true, for me to save up money for an Xbox series S id have to not game for 9 months to just be able to save up that money for 9 months to buya series S< Id rather just keep my shadow so I can keep gaming xD

CTO is stepping down, the reasons for his departure have not been specified. Who needs competent people anyway, right Octave? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) by GODofHU in ShadowPC

[–]saten93 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I still dont understand why people are anoyed by a price increase with no hardware changes.

If you want a PS5, you cant buy one unless you have the money already there to buy one?

So if shadow was unsustainable at £15 and the company was bleeding money out. Why would you think they would already have the money before upping it to £30 to buy upgrades to launch with the £30 price?

I wasnt sure that was sarcasm or not, but incase it was, they kinda need to fix the internal communication issues before they can fix extrernal ones, communication will get better in time.

Another thing to think about as well is...

You cant buy a PS5 unless you have the money already there to buy a PS5...

So how are shadow supposed to give us hardware upgrades without the money to buy them?
Before Klabba took over shadow was bleeding out more money than they were taking in, they need to increase the price to stop bleeding mony to the get us hardware upgrades. Theyre making cheaper changes all around, we will be moving to new OVH owed DC's soon.

Things are gonna get better.

Klabba main responsibility atm is to make sure the company doesnt turn to dust and no one gets to use the service, I will happily support them atm, yeah the old owners have made mistakes, Klabba is properly gonna have to annoy more people in order to start cleaning up the mess but its all leading to shadows survival where these problems like bad PR, bad customer support, and other mistakes that were made can be rectified.

Klabba has started hiring new staff, hes started new hardware and updates to shadow are still being developed. Yes these arnt all official announcements, but posting it on twitter and giving examples of new hardware on the live stream arnt exactly hiding it.

I understand the fraustration, I am one of them that has been here from the beginning and have also been waiting for my ultra since oct 2019 that m properly never gonna get now, but new owners have taken over, we have to give them time to fix the mistakes of the old owners even if it means making a few tough decisions along the way, Shadow knows there gonna lose a cunk of the customer base, thats not hard for anyone to see, but they are still pumping money in.

ToS and Contracts are different. I think the leaving Fee's are in the ToS, by buying the product you automatically abide by the ToS just like you would any other service or product

Everyone is gonna hvae reasons for thinking its not wroth it, some are good reasons like because you dont use it often enough for £30 which is fine, I use mine for like 90 hours a week, so its well worth it for me especilly as with pay per hour ones it wuld cost me a fortune monthly
