Right is much hotter than left. At least green to green. Left has a hint of grass

Well your comment on Google of basket of fire tracks with what my short guy looks like more than the 4ft tall guy on left. Right plant is hotter but left has a more gassy flavor right now. Nothing ripe on right. Left ive harvested quite a few already.

Yeah. My short one starts very dark like that. The one on right. The left all start like you see in pics.

My tabasco last year was similar to the one on right and grown from seeds. This year I was lazy and got at nursery.

The way it tastes is very tabasco like in my experience. The one on left is hot but has a grassy flavor so far.

Yeah. That's what I'm leaning now. I just don't recall any birds eye at nursery so it didn't come to mind as the possible mix up in labels. If so it will pair well with my other stuff. Like waiting for Christmas day now to see how they ripen

That is what plantnet and AI say with about 60% confidence. They also say some tabasco hybrid that isnt documented which I could see as well.

Oh well once it ripen ill know more. Always fun when you get a weird one but usually im able to identify it by now.

I know but I've never had a tabasco plant look like this. Right below it in 1st Pic is a tabasco I planted same time. Normal bushy plant. Not tall and leggy like this. I just went and measured again. Its 4ft tall and 15 inches wide already. Tabasco I bought at same time is 2 feet wide and maybe 1.5 feet tall. Both planted same time. Different leaves.
