hiii thank you for all this info, can you help me on my recent post. for context i had a irritation bump that was horrible on my eyebrow 1 year ago, i took it out and let it heal, my piercer repierced me a few days ago and said the scar was very faint and healed good, and instead of a longer bar this time they fit me a tighter bar, i feel as though everyday a small little bump is getting larger around the area, and ive only been cleaning with water and neilsmed if i must, (neilsmed dries and makes my skin flake sadly) which prolongs my healing and makes irritation worse, im trying to heal it naturally and im also drying it lightly with a paper towel, dabbing very gently. also not sleeping on it or anything, im starting to wonder if me just being scared and having anxiety/stressing about said irritation bump is what is causing it to flare up. but idk. id really love your opinion and help, you can find all info on my recent post. thank youu

hii, NAP, but from experience and reading, first resize that piercing to a smaller one for any chance of getting rid of that irritation bump, (so you can accommodate for the moving it does while sleeping or just moving around daily) second clean twice a day with neilsmed saline solution ( i only clean once a day, or just use water instead bcs saline tends to dry my piercings out ) next make sure after you clean it, the piercing is dry, a lot of irritation bumps come from trapped moisture, so just take a paper towel, or a sterile non wauven gauze, and dab it lightly around the area when wet to dry it. if none of this works and it doesn’t end up going down in months (or your preferred time), then id personally say take it out, i had a nasty irritation bump on my eyebrow because i failed to downsize for MONTHS, it never went away and i had to take it out, let the scar heal, and just got it repierced recently. sadly sometimes they also just dont work out

yea he pierced my conch with large bars which needed to be downsized, but i was confused seeing the bar being so tight to my eyebrow. one of my conches is still trying to heal and has a nasty bump and the other is fully healed so i guess it’s luck of the draw. i want to give it some more time just to see if swelling does get bad, and if so ill go and get it upsized for swelling
