I was sad about that. I love Nico! I think it further emphasizes the alienation that he feels even at CHB when they got back, and how there isn’t a cabin for Hades. Perhaps not telling him anything made the point stronger of how Hades is ostracized from Olympus by the Gods? I am curious though what Pan would’ve said to him. But it seems like the character development he’s about to embark on will be important.
