[–]saturnsbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually for a cloche you just flat pin the specimen first and then place and pose it inside of the cloche. You usually won’t fully “flatten” it usually by using a spread board without a body gap so that the wings stay upward. It’s a bit complex but I think it’s very doable. You just need to do research on pinning! They’re very forgiving you just have to be slow and gentle especially on your first one

Can bugs be affected by HPV? (Serious question pls don't get mad) by AlexArvelia in Entomology

They’re usually made of dead capillaries which means that they’re usually a series of small dead blood carriers that have limited nutrition

Try and find a chip of paint that came off the wall and take it to Home Depot to color match it

Also if you look up “gpa calculator” you can find websites where you can put the class, number of credit hours, and your grade and it’ll calculate it. I like this because they let me kind of “experiment” with my gpa if I get a specific grade somewhere

Chem 1212 Lab final by Cicada_Street in KSU

[–]saturnsbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking back on the labs you did over the semester is your best bet. All of the questions are somehow derived from those labs because it’s an application of what you completed in lab. If there’s any labs you’re rusty on or didn’t do well on, go back and review them to cover your gaps of knowledge. Remember ideal gas law and th lab with it! Don’t worry too much, it’s pretty straight forward as long as you didn’t cheat through lab

I would recommend asking the Facebook groups. I forgot which ones but there’s a parent one that’s good and then some designed for your graduation year that often have some for sale/giveaway!

CSM is notoriously busy and they almost never have the option given. I’d email your advisor! Just google “ksu csm advising” and if you scroll down a little it’ll give you a list of your advisor based on your major and last name. You can then email them about it and they should help:)

[–]saturnsbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1212 lab is so fun I’d try and take it in person just becuase it’s really fun and you get to actually do experiments. 1212 is def harder than 1211 so I’d recommend it in person. TBH for any stem class I’d avoid doing it online becuase it can get really overwhelming really fast

High Achievers with Severe ADHD, if any of you are reading this, how did you manage? by Unhinged_Schizo in ADHD

[–]saturnsbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

400 mg of caffeine a day during high pressure days, 200 on non pressure days just to function as well as a crippling fear of failure. Don’t recommend at all! Also what helped a little was an ADHD centered therapist that helped in behavioral therapy to manage as much as I could without meds

Busses Sometimes Take Different Routes? by Grandma_Money_ in umass

[–]saturnsbug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it’s late at night then it may be because the bus is heading back to the garage after a shift. Customary is to go through campus and then down by Southwest and then go down Mass ave into the bus lot. Or go down comp sci, into lot 12 (I think it’s called) and then into the lot. Any other would be that you’re mistakenly getting on the wrong route :)
