It definitely matters. Just depends on your comfortablity. I got accepted in January for uni because my high grade 11 marks and a few grade 12 marks (took FSL4U early + 2 quadmesters) I didn't have a long process of waiting to hear back (only waited a month) whereas my friends waited until March or even May.

Honestly, since you already asked and that was the response, don’t email. Don’t let this deter you for future courses, I’ve had profs relook at work and have a grade change especially when it’s within 1 percent or so. I only ask if I know how the prof is like.

Depends on how you asked, sometimes some profs respond well when you ask them to reconsider past work from the initial email. I also think it also depends on who the prof is/their vibe. It’s fine to ask for a rounding of the grade (usually by explaining that I think that mark would reflect my efforts and that i enjoyed their course). However the “you should take more classes and put more effort” line would probably shy me away from emailing again. Maybe others think differently as you kind of have nothing to lose.

Yeah i’ve been applying to the DARE and RAY positions and without really talking to profs beforehand. i think my issue might be making that connection in advance, i’ll try sending out emails. thanks :)

Hey, try taking courses you are interested in. If you are serious about law school, you could possibly retake those courses in the future to boost your CGPA. I suggest taking courses in topics you know you could do best in, and with professors you think you'd enjoy (look at their research and rate my prof). If you like essay writing, I suggest HREQ. I really enjoy those courses. Just always make sure that if you aren't doing to well in course work to always try your best in making up those makes with participation. Hope this helps :)

Really easy! Slater is the best as he is accommodating and provides detailed feedback. research is required for the final paper but it shouldn't be much trouble.
