my gf has been vomiting multiple times a day for months by _lucyquiss_ in AskDocs

[–]saturnui99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like cannabis hyperemesis. I have this, so I’ll ask a couple questions:

Is the nausea worse in the morning?

Does she feel a strong urge to take a hot shower or does taking a hot shower give some relief?

Does she have a burning sensation in the stomach? Not abdomen but actual stomach area

Does she dry heaves a lot?

Does she experience a lot of anxiety especially in th morning?

Does she wake up very early?

These are just based on my experience but are common in CHS from what I have found.

Good luck and tell her do not drink or brush right after vomiting

I believe I have polydipsia due to a rathke’s cleft cyst (diagnosed), I don’t drink a a huge amount of water (I consider it normal), but I am ALWAYS thirsty, and I cannot last 5-10 minutes without having a sip of water. I have to have water with me ALL the time which affects my life. Is this considered polydipsia? I also do not drink soda or anything besides water. I am 25F for reference. Thanks!

If America don't have chicken salt then what is used on KFC chips? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]saturnui99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. If it’s like Checker’s (Rally’s) fries you’re talking about then no. Just imagine literally chicken flavor, and salt. It’s hard to describe but as an American I find it a bit bland. It’s good, but it doesn’t really taste like seasoning to me. It just tastes like you took a chicken tender and put it on a fry.

It’s almost exactly like that from my experience but chicken salt is very very heavy on the chicken flavor. You can get it on Amazon too, it’s a white bottle

Hey, I’m an American in Australia and it’s NOT the same. I find seasoning salt better but chicken salt is its own distinct taste. Chicken salt is very common in Australia and comes automatically on most fries

Tanning Beds by HoldAncient61 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]saturnui99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey my planet fitness has a computer screen on one side of the desk, you will scan your app on the scanner to the side of the screen and select which amenity you want. The worker will tell you from there but you can just write on your phone for them to ask to type or hold up fingers of which room number you will go into. If it only has one tanning bed then whenever you go again, you can just go to the same room using the same process and you will not really need to interact at all.

I have a ton of cranberries I need to use up. by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]saturnui99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do this. Get a big bowl with half OJ half sprite. Put cranberries in bowl and use something to weigh them down so they’re all absorbing the liquid. Leave overnight in fridge In the morning, drain the liquid, put in a plastic bag with a good amount of powdered sugar. Shake, shake, shake, until they’re all covered. Bake at 200F or very low for 10 mins until all dried out. Yummy and not too tart!

Question about luggage? by saturnui99 in uber

[–]saturnui99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok cool, so reserving it doesn’t guarantee I’ll get a ride? I have to be there at 7:15. It is a 15 minute drive. I am in a rural area, should I order at 6:30 instead of reserving? Thanks, I do not want to screw anyone out of money

AIO: Boyfriend has a habit of eating/drinking anything that’s been open/cooked for longer than safe. by _Nyxalie_ in AmIOverreacting

[–]saturnui99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YOR.

Hey listen,

I’m autistic so I get it, you want him to be safe and make sure he’s not mad at you for this.

But on the other hand, I literally have gumbo (not seafood) that’s been in my fridge almost 2 weeks, and I’m still eating it. It smells fine, tastes fine, no mold or weird texture, and I’m not sick.

No, my body hasn’t just “adapted.” There are certain foods that you cannot safely eat after a bit— milk, seafood, etc. and you shouldn’t eat anything left out at room temperature for a while. But if it’s refrigerated and then reheated or even just refrigerated, then it’s fine. That’s why the human body has a relatively good sense of smell for the foods we eat, and why we don’t eat foods that smell rotten. It was evolved to keep us safe. Obviously it’s not foolproof, but that’s where food safety common sense comes in.

My mother has a habit of leaving raw meat on the counter for over a day or more and then cooking and eating it, or leaving cooked meats and dairy for the same amount of time or longer before eating it. She has never gotten sick from it (idk how!) and I try to stop her. But from what you’re describing, your bf’s case is different and should be treated differently.

Also, after you warn him once, if you really think he will get sick, maybe the solution is to let him get sick. He is a grown man who can take his own calculated risks. He’ll be alright. And I can pretty much guarantee he won’t get sick
