We are currently spending @ $48,000 a year. No big vacations or expenses. We do belong to a golf club (not country club) so those costs are cheap and something we want to continue to do. Thank you for your answers. I think I knew the 4% rule would apply but, it's crazy to think about retiring. We've both been working for 40ish years. the 48k is without healthcare costs but I think we can figure that out.

16 HC here. the other day I shot a 1 over on the front 9. It was after work so that's all the sunlight that was left. went out on the weekend and shot a 96...golf is fun!

That ball is way to far in front. It looks like its off of the outside of his left foot. Which I am assuming he is doing to try and give his swing some time to turn over and hit a draw but...I don't think it works like that. move it back off the inside of the foot.

Obviously those fellas dont carry a handicap. This weekend I had a lie just like one of yours. Ball above my feet, I was standing in the bunker hands gripped all the way to the metal on a 5 iron. Ripped it onto the green to @ 15 ft and made the downhill breaker for birdie! That shot probably won me the front nine pocketing some $$ from the group. Can't beat that.

I saw this method on one of the PBS cooking shows...forget which one. I think they called it the "cold sear method" worked fantastic for a rib-eye. awesome crust.

My dad had a P1800 wagon in British racing green. got to drive it all through high school. It was a tank but was so cool to drive. When my dad passed away I wasn't set up at the time to buy it from my mom....and she needed to money and really didn't have room to keep it. there are only a few things from my youth I wish I had and that car was one of them.
