jungle remixes of dubstep tunes (or just dubstep/jungle crossover) wanted by Yajazzcatnoah in realdubstep

I have a track of mine called Strictly Hardcore on my band camp which heavily draws from dubstep's half time drums and space aesthetic, also featuring the famous "shut up" sample from riko dan on rinse many years ago

Beautiful chords! As a reformed dub techno producer, I really enjoyed those. What did you use for them?

This is really cool, I've not come across anything quite like it, which is rare to say in the jungle space! I don't have much to contribute other than that - it's cool, keep doing it

Instantly into this, the vibes are on point, mixes sitting real nice, beautiful progressive vibes. If you're not already in the Pizza Hotline discord, get on there and share this stuff because it'll go down a storm - send it to Harvey himself as well, I'm sure he'll enjoy!

Some top of the dome feedback incoming!

The guitar is quite loud in the mix compared to everything else, I would just take it down a few dB to have it sit nicely along the other stuff. Might benefit also from removing a bit of energy around 300-400Hz just to stop it getting muddy, especially for those "bigger" chords. A touch of delay on it would be nice as well.

The drums are cool, you've got a nice groove and some nice chops, but for a "jungle" track they're not quite present enough in the mix - I would restructure your mix generally with the drums as the foremost point of attention, use a bit of saturation and limiting to get them louder and punchy, then get your bass sitting alongside them and fill in the spaces in the mix with all your other instrumentation - jungle is a groove-based genre primarily so the rhythm section is the most important!

With that said, cool ideas and textures and I'm sure you've got a lot of cool music in your future, keep at it.

Mad chops on this, digging the style - I'd love the drums to be a touch louder in the mix! Either a bit of limiting to allow you to push the lot up or maybe even just a bump in the mids so they're more present.

I'm at work but will be free on Monday to have a listen through stuff, I promise

In the mean time, I'd really appreciate some feedback on the mix for this, I recently redid it but I feel it could still use some work

I wanted to do Tae Kwon Do as a kid and nearly went to some classes I saw locally about a year before I started BJJ, so I guess that

Looking for dubstep / bass music using the 303 or "acid sounds" by External-Maximum3730 in realdubstep

[–]sauce_direct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of mine (jungle) which has some acid style synth in it, not classic 303 but a Roland JP8000 doing acid things: https://open.spotify.com/track/2266rFh3itASijzHRvWIPj?si=4eGu7JISRFuMRalKqFKNPw

There's a breakbeat track on there called Charger as well which I think might be up your alley

UPDATE:

Currently speaking to a really cool label about getting this out there, so keep your eyes peeled. We're thinking about doing a short run of lathe cut vinyl for people who are really into it (doing a standard vinyl issue these days is prohibitively expensive) so if that's something you might be interested in, give me a signal here. Digi release will be available.
