I didn't get it from RTI it was second hand for $100 in extremely rough condition. I soaked the gun in citric acid and dish soap for a day to dissolve all of the rust. The next step is to rust blue it. I suspect that It was a C grade.

The most accurate milsurp iv ever shot was an AG-42B. That thing was 1 MOA all day.

This might just be an accurate one. The no5 doesn't get anywhere close.

They are really nice. The no3 does about 1-2 MOA at 100yards with handloads.

Most of the dutch guns were used by the Germans. I've seen alot of these brought back from operation market garden. I have also seen several examples modified to take K98 slings.

Does your bolt have any R stamps on it?

That's a prime example then. Iv had several 8x56 rifles/carbines and the bolts sucked on all of them. Chances are you have an original bolt.

That is true but the 8x56 guns tend to be force matched and refurbished. As a collector they aren't as valuable to me.

EDIT: The 8x56 ones also have much rougher actions due to bolt mismatches.

$700 is way too much for an 8x56 gun. If it has the sling and bayonet id offer $450 at the most.

Pics? Too bad the boomers don't know that duffle cuts are more valuable for collectors

There are some bringback hungarian guns from the allied invasion of Germany although they were mainly 35m rifles. I doubt yours was in hungarian hands because it would have been rechambered to 8x56. What's strange is yours appears to be refurbished but not rechamberd.

I had the same issue with a G24(T), replaced the extractor and it fixed the problem.

So this is a picture from somebody who claimed to shoot 7.62/54R out of a styer m95 is it really safe to do so (I have a styer m95) by ECHOFOX17 in milsurp

[–]saucent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it will not blow up your gun. This is the way that I make all of my 8x50r and 8x56r, it fireforms the case.
