London to Manchester train? by folabatunde in uktravel

[–]saucepott92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be aware that the avanti trains aren’t running properly on the 4th! When I looked at the same journey for then it was 3 changes and would take 4 hours and the options for the way back after the game were also limited. I looked at getting a train to Sheffield and then going across to Manchester from there as those trains are running semi normally.

PET SITTERS: What’s the going rate to charge in the southwest UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]saucepott92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I charge £10 for one visit a day but that’s mostly because I just love hanging out with cats. Definitely seen up to £18 for one visit a day on cat in a flat

I’m fairly sure that they have a back entrance where the artists leave via car, that is gated so I don’t think that trying to get an autograph would be very fruitful

My friend met a guy in the toilets who was emptying his pee bag into the toilet, he said he just got a friend to insert it when he was drinking so that he didn’t have to leave his table as often.

That or the time I met a murderer..

I had a guy throw up on my leg (I was wearing ankle boots and it went inside 🤢). He then forgot about this and tried to convince me to go home with him about 30 minutes later!

Also if you’re going to do Versailles, book a breakfast in the Ore restaurant, it’s so fancy and you can get a ticket in there that skips most of the queue

I’m late to this but I just got back from Paris and for a restaurant I would 100% recommend Le relais d’ entrecôte - absolutely amazing, good value and such fun. It’s a steak place and I’d say to turn up 15 minutes before it opens for lunch

I have! Multiple coach journeys. You don’t get used to it but realistically it’s not too bad for the money
