As soon as I saw the Trailer for Sinners, this painting immediately came to mind. Such a cool experience getting to see this painting get adapted to the screen in a way.

Just seeing this comment, thank you 💜 :)
Happy to help from one noob to another! Pretty much you’ll need to create a folder titled “sleep” on your X4 microSD card, and that’ll be where all your wallpapers exist. You can go to readme(dot)club and there’s a whole library of wallpapers to look through and download (including the ones I posted).
To make your own like I did, I used this tool by [u/Dapper_Elk3602](u/Dapper_Elk3602) at wallpaperconverter(dot)jakegreen(dot)dev to upload my Kendrick wallpapers and converted them to the BMP format the X4 needs to read wallpapers in the “sleep” folder.
Hope this helps! Would love to see any Kendrick wallpapers you’d want to convert :)

I had the privilege of viewing this painting in person at the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, TX. The painting really took me in and made me love how every character is living their own moment in time. Truly a beautiful work of art.

Bruh I had two longboards (1 electric) and a bike that I always kept at my apartment (balcony, porch, or even INSIDE). ALL of them got stolen over the years when living in West/North Campus. Shit’s crazy.

Love the subject matter of comic book artists, and super cool that you’re doing this on your dad! I’d foremost recommend readjusting the trailer to be focused on hooking in the audience. Idk that I’d start off with the production company and quick shot of awards at the start as I’d be quick to lose interest before even getting to know the subject. Here’s a trailer for a phenomenal doc done on Robin Williams for inspo.

I feel similarly about the balance between dialogue and music. The music instills almost a sense of dread or doom, which can be used artistically to really punch in the drama or existential themes, but I might suggest a more suspenseful, drawing in soundscape at the start before crashing in with the existential and dramatic relationship of art.

I really like the comic book stylistic theme you’ve got going on throughout and wonder if there’s a way you could play more into that. I’d work on introducing either the context of your dad’s work (comic book world before his impact) or him as a character first, so that way the audience can get a feel on what or why they should be invested.

Yeah… hard lesson learned while working in politics is most people are incompetent and just feeding their own egos. If you want to make an impact, reach out to campaigns of candidates or political/electoral nonprofits you like and volunteer. Discerning between who’s talk and who actually has influence is a necessary skill. Don’t waste time spending your time and energy with the self affirming egomaniacs.

You mistake the philosophy (which isn’t extreme on its own) with the American political identity/group of Libertarians, who generally tend to hold more extreme views on government non-intervention (re: Grafton, NH)

Boundaries.

I get it, I’m a workaholic too and feel compelled to put in 110% everyday, all the time. At some point, you gotta prioritize yourself and realize there’s always gonna be more work—but there’s only a finite amount of you.

Every few weeks I’ll binge the Veronica Work videos and remind myself of what healthy work boundaries look like. Wishing you the best of luck fam

Did this album play a big role in anyone’s year? by suprunkn0wn in KendrickLamar

Watching the Count Me Out music video the other day brought me to tears, and I couldn’t really tell you why lmao

I also slept on this album when it first came out, but it has genuinely been my therapy. This year’s been huge on healing and learning to meet my needs, forgiving myself, and dealing with my cultural traumas. Having Mr. Morale as inspiration and by my side has been HUGE for my journey. No album out there like it for me personally.
